I really like the app, the features are easy to navigate, it is worth spending a bit of time finding where everything and setting your preferences on your devices at home first. Using a phone alone it is easy enough to find a spot and get fishing. I like to do my mapping with the deeper attached to my phone and after I’ve mapped the area I can upload the scans to the cloud and spend time looking at them on my tablet in more detail.

So I have had my Deeper pro + for a while now and it replaced my castable Deeper and I have found that it’s the best sonar for fishing I have used. It’s Versatility to connect to my bait boat and my rubber rib boat so I don’t have to have different sonars for different applications. The app I use on a Samsung Tab A9 and the app and Deeper work so well and it’s easy to set up and to operate making finding your spots so easy. Thumbs up from me.

Firstly the app didn’t acknowledge the account status.Can’t load premium maps, asking for an internet connection when trying to use it on waters, that’s if it hasn’t locked me out of premium maps.Cannot opt out of cloud storage. Creating maps for Deeper isn’t something I readily agree with.If the app actually worked correctly for me it be a higher rating, but after nearly 4 years with some stress & very frustrating days of trying to get a depth on some waters, on others it’s patchy and on a few more no problem. The app needs a refresh. The hardware I’ve no doubts about.

Hi there, thanks a lot for your review and sorry for the issues you had.If you're on the water connected to your Deeper, your phone will not have any internet connection. This is how modern phones work - if they're connected to a WiFi device, they will lose internet access even if you have 4G or 5G enabled. Please go to menu on the left side of the screen and access Offline Maps. Download offline map of your area, and the app will load maps properly even if you don't have internet access.You can opt out of cloud storage if you use the app in Guest mode. But keep in mind that backing up your scans to the cloud ensures that you'll be able to access them even if you change your phone.If you have any other issues with your Deeper or the app - we'll be happy to help you. Catch Rate Tripled

Since using the CHIRP I have seen my catch rate triple. It allows me to map and read a swim without causing much disturbance to fish which could already be present in the area. Everything is saved to my phone: Depths, Temp, substrate type etc, which allows me to keep all the information I need on hand at anytime. It’s an unbelievable piece of kit which will be sure to change your angling
