I’m 20 years old and I love the game. I used to play the previous versions when I was younger and it calms me down. When I was younger all I did was mess around with the hair but now there’s makeup I feel like there is no limit to creation. The issue is that you have to pay for makeup :/ I acknowledge I’m an adult but many children play this game. I think it’s a little sly to have in app purchases for kids games. My other issue is that you’re given set avatars to style. To be fair, while there is a lot of diversity I want to be able to have a customise the appearance of the avatar. I’m using this game as a rebound for the sims because I lost all my save data. I’m grieving my sims and I want to create them in this game. But I can’t because none of the premade avatars will do them justice. While I can change their hair colour and texture I cannot change their skin colour and facial features. And I don’t even know how much you can change them with makeup because it’s behind a paywall!!!I doubt you’ll remove the paywall for makeup considering the amount of reviews of people complaining about it, however I sincerely hope you consider adding an avatar customiser. You’ve already given us so much freedom with their hair and accessories. Would it not make sense to add avatar customisation?
Looks nice, fun but with some frustrating issues

The game overall is very fun, I play it for hours. The colours, backgrounds and characters all look really nice. Definitely worth playing. I did find a few issues that I thought I’d point out:- If the characters hair is too long you are unable to dye it unless you move it- If the character has a beard then you cannot do anything to the bottom of a long beard as otherwise it will just select a tool or something.- The tools themselves (especially the scissors) are quite difficult to select for some reason, but that might just be me. (I’m not sure if this is an ipad optimised version or not but i feel that these issues could be solved by just making use of the large screen space.)-It is impossible to draw fine details on the face using makeup as whenever you begin using a tool, the characters head will move and they will change expression. If you draw a straight line across their face you would see a jump in the line where they move.-The characters also pull random expression every now and again but this means that they move their head when they go back to normal. To make sure you don’t mess up, you just need to wait for them to stop which is pretty annoying. But yeah with a few things tweaked this would be 5 stars. Keep up the good work!

Hi Toca Boca! I’ve been playing your games ever since I was little. I love Toca life and about a month ago I was on the App Store and saw this. I had looked at it before and wasn’t that interested because the makeup wasn’t free, but I looked again a few months later and wanted to download it (I had had the music from the ad in my head that day. Also, I have Toca hair salon 2, and this looked way better). When I got it, I enjoyed making hair styles with a wider range of hair colours than in Toca hair salon 2, and I used it sometimes, but I always really wanted the makeup 😀😁. And today, I got the 28% off starter bundle, and it is GREAT! If you have extra money you want to spend on a game, and you like Toca hair salon 4, then I really recommend the starter bundle! For just one pound more than the makeup that you can buy alone, you get the makeup AND tons of other cool things for you to play around with! And the makeup is the best part!
