I have a love hate relationship with time management and habit tracks. They are often too restrictive trying to force a user down a path of the creators epiphany of how life should be structured. They often feel like obstacles as opposed to tools and aren’t necessarily intuitively or easy to interface with. After years of trying countless apps I stumbled across this one and you can finally say I found something that works. At first I was kept up but within 10 minutes I was pleasantly how intuitive, beautiful and customisable this app is. For the first time I could set up and work with an app that fits how I work, not the other way around. This is the first app that I’ve actually taken the time to write a review for I’m so impressed that though I wrote this review in my notes app to only find that it doesn’t allow me to paste into the review section I’ve taken the time to rewrite this word for word so much so is how I want to stress impressed by this app so far. Well, it may not suit everyone, the aesthetics, adaptability and general integration is my daily life, make this app stand out from the rest. This app is definitely worth a try.
"Better, Not Perfect"

The focus on percentages to measure accomplishment in a day is THE crucial thing that makes this app great, because as someone who suffers from perfectionism and binary thinking it means that accomplishment becomes far more nuanced and relative - you're never thinking about the cliff edge of losing a streak or success/failure binary that then makes you feel like a failure, discourages you from even trying and turns your behavior into fatalist protection from anxiety. The flexibility of a percentage instead reinforces the idea of doing your best, it allows you to say, "hey I got 80% of the things i wanted to build habits for, that's pretty good for my circumstances today!", or "i have about 60% right now, is there something i could do to push that number a little higher?". I get to treat my habit goals as a natural cluster of things to tend to beside my current life rather than a terrifyingly rigid law that slices through it, and i can still zoom in to still see the new habit ideas i'm not doing or having trouble with and figure out how to make that work. There's other great features like the simple native UI, the full Apple Watch and Widgets integration and the option for a one time purchase, but the percentage focus and backseating of streaks made this a thing i actually use and bought over the hundreds of habit apps i browsed and dozen or so I attempted using. My critiques are minor and mainly relate to laggy or non-existant background updates for complications on my Watch, the fact longer habit names get cut off in the UI, and the grouping system. For groups id like to be able to see them more easily at a glance and define them in the Atomic Habits sense of "this is their purpose, this is what i'm trying to become through them", but the current filter system obscures and fences that sense of purpose off more than id like.
Best habit tracking app I’ve tried (and I’ve tried many of them!)

This app hits the nail on the head. It’s got a simple layout, it syncs across devices (the iPad version looks just as good), and I love the circle as a visual reference point to how well I’ve completed my habits each day. Additionally, the newest update lets you sort your habits into list (and each list has its own circle of completion), taking this app from a 4.5/5 to a 5/5! I’m a habit tracker veteran and this is the only app I’ve been able to stick with for an extended period of time, as well as the only app that actually motivates me to keep tracking my habits!! I love it and would 1000% recommend it.
Its got time tracking (sort of)

I’ve downloaded so many (a bit too many) habit apps, but I keep coming back to this because I think the design simply hits the nail on the head. Before my journey into habit development, I was using time trackers, as I found it useful to see where my time was going. However I started to get anxious by seeing my time lost in activities I didn’t care about, and got no motivation to achieve what I wanted during the day in the first place, as there is no real place to set goals… and that’s where Awesome Habits came in. Habits still allows me to time track an activity, but now not just any activity. It’s specific activities I care about and just those. The customer support is great too. I asked if it was possible to integrate Awesome Habits with other time tracking apps, via Zapier or IFTTT, or have access to to export/import functionality, and their was reply was really positive!I’m looking forward to future developments. Thank you for making the app!
• Decimal values: Counted habits now accept decimals, so you can track values like 1.5 mi or 12.5 fl oz with up to two decimal places.
• Custom circle tap action: Choose what tapping a habit's circle does: add a custom amount or ask you for the value every time. Find it in Edit habit, under the goal section – tap "Show more".
• Seconds for timed goals: Set timed goals down to the second, and see the seconds count live right on the Home tab.
• Start your week on any day: Pick any day of the week as your start of week, not just Sunday or Monday.
