I downloaded Pocket Champs a few months back now after I was looking for an easy pick up and play game with decent reviews. its a very simple game to learn and you don’t have to do anything during the races. Might sound boring, but its anything but. It’s all about setting your character up to beat other competitors around the globe. The 4 main elements are flying, swimming, running and climbing and you have to set your character up with tens and tens of different gadgets to best suit the different race track pit your wits against the competition. This is the fun element as there are so many different collectibles to keep changing your pocket champ from trainer icons to emoticons and of course changing the style of your pocket champ character. There are so many chests, daily races and weekly tournaments to keep you constantly vying to climb your way up to the ladder. The downside is the adverts which pop up in between races and of course there is the option to buy diamonds and coins but its not necessary to have to work your way up. I must say though that just one purchase will stop the ads for good. You can still watch ads to gain extra bonuses, but again its not essential.i do think they have nailed the playability and I really hope the developers don’t fall into the same trap that other games have done and get greedy as they will lose the fan base very quickly. As it is, I am giving it a very worthy 5 stars, great work.

Fun but frustrating sometimes

Loads of fun updating and training the little champ and watching him race. Sometimes I’ll get matched with champs who are ridiculously more powerful and I’ll lose epicly, knocking me back to the previous race at one point because I couldn’t win against their gadgets. Sometimes I’ll play the same race with the same gadget, lose one and then win the next, so I think it’s partially power/gadget and partially luck, which I don’t mind but can be very frustrating, when you’re playing against lower powered champs but their gadgets are so powerful you don’t stand a chance. And these gadgets are so rare to find I don’t know how they have them on level 100 when I’m double that and haven’t come across them, unless of course they ptw, which is also frustrating. There is a sound glitch in my game and almost every time I play it’ll start to beep non-stop until I hit a volume button. It glitched majorly the other day telling me I couldn’t play without an update when I had the latest version, and I deleted and reinstalled the game but it didn’t fix it. It’s working the next day but that was a worrying glitch but I’d only lost my champ’s name (easy to fix) and all my stats etc were there so that’s cool. Overall, it’s a really fun game that’s kind of addictive. There will be an occasional race they throw up where the odds are NOT in your favour (probably to try and make you pay for advantages) so prepare to lose multiple times until luck kicks in. Despite my gripes, I’m not going to stop playing because it is oddly satisfying watching my champ advance and get all happy when he wins.

This is the funnest game but it’s a tie with roblox and Minecraft But as soon as I downloaded this game I fell in love with it!!Thank u sooooo much this is probs gonna be the top game one day I hope so to be honest and this game is like magic u get sucked in to it as soon as u play the fist race and I just love playing it I’m gonna play it EVERYDAY FOR RHE WHOLE DAY bc I loooooooovvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeee it sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much and maby with the training bad can u make it shorter like 5 10 minuets but that is the only down side but apart from that thank you sooooo much this game is like like it’s like u are actually doing it so I got me doing my sport now I’m so popular at school and I’m the fastest runner,climber and swimmer so this game gave me passion so thank you sooo much for inspiring me to do that now I’ve showed my family now we are soo n to sports so this game isn’t just fun it is passion to everyone who doesn’t do sports or believe that sport is heathy bc this game is just so good with it and I-I don’t know what else to say but thank you I’ve never seen such a fun game in my WHOLE life and I’m sure that once I tell my friends about it they are going to get to passionate to start sort and… PLAY THIS GAME thank you so much I love it and this is the end of my report thank u!!!

EDIT: taking a star off this. Everything I said below is still true but the good things aren’t as good and the bad things are much worse. Once you reach a certain level just be prepared to have to play the same race over and over again for days because no matter how much you improve, it will just make your “opponents” faster. The cheating is ridiculous. A dull, monotonous experience that can’t be overcome. A shame too as it really used to be good fun. Oh well, time to look for something else.It’s a very fun, very playable game. There are annoying negatives though; as with 99% of games on the App Store. eventually it just decides that you can no longer win/progress. You will race people who have less power than you but somehow are much faster. Their gadgets work better than yours, despite them being at the same or lower level. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes you can go on a real surge for a few races, but eventually it will have enough and just start adding clearly non-human players so you can no longer progress. Unless of course you’re willing to pay for upgrades each time it halts your progress. Still, it is enjoyable when it’s fun. And it’s not just fun when you are winning, but also when you’re at least competitive. Also I will give it a lot of credit for having a random award section where you actually win top awards. Not just the same old worst prize rubbish. My only other critique is that the levels are pretty similar. They basically have about 10-15 courses which just loop. Some more variety would be nice. But all in all, way better than most of the garbage games on here
