more I love my Sonos system, but the one thing I wanted was a one-click solution that would group all of my speakers, set an appropriate volume for the morning and the play my favourite radio station all over the house. Within ten minutes of installing the Soro app I had configured a shortcut that does exactly that, and it’s perfect. Shortcuts on iOS can be a little confusing, but that isn’t the fault of Soro. It simply provides the hooks into the Sonos system that you can use to build your custom shortcuts. Overall, it’s a really great solution to managing regular Sonos routines. Highly recommended.

Having bought this once, the author wants me to buy it again. But this time, he’s breaking all the automations I set up with it previously. So I’m not really sure what the sales pitch is - pay to lose everything you could already do, and not be able to do it again? When are they going to do this again? Time to get out. Plenty of other Sonos apps that have feature parity and the same reduced functionality as this has been degraded to. Fool me once, etc. I suspect the removal of features and forced resubscription are violations of App Store rules; I guess Apple can sort this out.A real shame. Really nice app, works exactly as you’d expect, extending Sonos functionality so that it can finally work with Siri and the Shortcuts app. Allows you to control a lot of Sonos features. Would be nice in future if it allowed you to get the current state of speakers/group (play/volume etc), so if they are already on, you could detect that and not try to make them turn on again.
