App feels like it was designed as a bunch of features that were made by people that don’t own a cat. Here are some examples – (1) No test feeder, which is a must given that on first use no food comes out and scales are wrong; (2) No weight calibration function (10g comes out as 13g), which risks me over feeding the cat; (2) App home page is not my device but lists of devices… like 99% people I only have 1 device, so that’s an annoying extra click; (3) Video recording menu cannot be configured to default to SD card; (4) Video cloud non-stop advert on my device view; (5) Video recording do not jump to a recording but show you minutes of empty video with no intuitive way to skip; (6) Menu bar is inconsistent between views like it was designed in silos… I can keep going, but the point is that it’s not a well made app due to lack of thought on what would make a delightful experience and built just to be a tick in a box. I will be actively not recommending this app and therefore product to people.

Feed now flawed and app more limited than libro lite

I can see in the last update that feed now has been added but it is still conditional on there being no feeding plan at all or it will still replace one of the three time slots as feeding ‘early’ which is frustrating and tiresome having to redo the schedule. It is not possible to feed now as an isolated function which is what we need because our cat feeds little but often. It is also not possible to set once a day and feed now the rest of the time, or more than 3 times a day which could have offered a workaround. It also doesn’t pick up our granary feeder. The Petlibro lite app which we use with the granary feeder separately lets you feed in isolation, and is quicker, unlimited and more intuitive with scheduling. It might look basic but functionally it’s better for the animal. We are thinking of sending the polar machine back because this app is too limiting for what is just a rotating dish. There is no reason that we can see for such constraints. Another example of a great product being spoiled by an inflexible app. Cats just want fresh food when they want it not tech updates.

The purpose of this wet food dispenser for us is to feed the cat when we go away for a couple of days. When we’re at home it’s unplugged and unused, but the app insists on telling you the device is offline several times a day. I know I could turn notifications off, but for one thing the device has to be on to change that setting, and another is that I don’t want to forget to switch them back on the next time we do use it. Surely if there’s no meal schedule set then there’s no need to notify?Knocking off another star for them constantly trying to push their subscription. This device is expensive enough as it is without pestering for more money.

Bought one of there chilled food cat feeders. It's not rocket science feeding a cat. In principle the thing opens at 12 for his lunch and 5 for his tea. But no someone in the computing department havetaken over. Now we have to check boxes to confirm activities. We have to continually cancel and edit schedules as they mysteriously disappear. If we add a new schedule because (shock horror) we want two meals in a day, the hopeless app makes the first meal disappear. This really is a frustrating and time consuming process. Please just let the meals appear when I want them!!!!
