A thoughtful and well-designed outliner

Outlining apps are few and far inbetween these days, and those that do exist tend to be clunky and/or lack modern features. Bike manages to be feature-rich whilst also being a space that lets you focus on the simple act of writing. There are a lot of really thoughtful and considered features under the hood and it's one of the few apps that's a joy to use! My one wish is an iOS version but that doesn't take away from the mac app being perfect :)

Thanks! :) Probably at least 6 month or more away, but I expect to start first iOS porting experiment next week.
Wonderful and simple!

I've never really used outlining apps before, but I gave this a go and have absolutely loved it. It's streamlined my writing and helped me to organise my ideas far more effectively. At first, I wasn't keen on subscribing, so I tried other outliners but they just didn't appeal to me in the same way as Bike. Upon going to the Jesse's site I discovered I could buy a permanent licence. So glad that I did! I just really hope that there'll be an iPad version at some stage too!

Thanks, I hope and expect there will be an iOS version too. Bike's a year old, my goal for this next year is to continue macOS development while also getting an iOS version out.
A long time!

I love Bike, stripped down to its minimalistic beauty, its perfect for one thing – outputting whats in my mind and quickly organising what ever that is so I can move on to actually doing things. I have tried every outliner going for many years, always ended up fiddling with the UI or the styling or something else instead of just structuring your ideas and actually being productive. A masterclass in mininalism. Finally.
Awesome

I had never quite seen the value of software specific for outlining. My mistake. Bike is amazing and beautiful to use. I, too, hope it comes to iOS ASAP, but more and more usefull features are being added to the macOS version. Up there with DEVONthink as my favourite mac software.
Developer Response
I'm glad Bike is opening the world of outlines to you! My plan is to have iOS version fully underway by spring. Whether that means it's ready for release, or I'm just devoting most of my time to working on it, I'm not sure.
• Improved new window sizing and positioning
• Removed ugly white line that could show under navigation bar
