Really good but the age rating…

Its really fun and i like to think of it as a stress relief and/or rp game. The only thing is that i just dont think it has enough content to make it a 17+. The things like the stabbing thats enough to make it a 12+ but not 17+, the blood is more of cartoon frequency and its not actual blood because the main characters are fruit and veg and melon is a watermelon so his blood/Watermelon juice? should be red. I go back to this point of me saying *Watermelon juice* Because all of them are technically food. Yes i know there are some mods that are not exactly that but this is the actual game. Now onto what i like about the game:I think its really fun and its a great stress relief app to go to. It can also be a rp app and you can dress them up with things like armour and clothes and you can also build whatever you want (if you can figure it out). It was ruined when the developers changed, and they then gave into the fact they could monetise their game. Now they run sales and events which are based around the store more than actual updates. This wouldn't be too bad, if the stuff in the store wasn't completely community created. This leads to varying consistencies between mods, some even being broken, but more on the community later in the review. Updates also take ages to happen, and usually add a few items into the game. I also am bombarded with advertisements every time I play the game with internet. I believe they base adverts off of clicks in the game ( how many times you touch the screen). For someone who used to build contraptions, it was impossible to play whilst on the WiFi due to these adverts. Lastly, there is immense lag when placing multiple characters down for me. This STILL isn't fixed, despite the developers saying how many hundreds of bugs they've fixed every update; this count is obviously a lie. The last criticism is that the community is FILLED to the brim with children, this is made obvious by looking at the fellow reviewers, people in their discord and the mod makers. Despite this being out of developer control, this makes every interaction around and with this game insufferable. As a player from the early days, around two years ago, I am massively disappointed in the downfall of this game from its user-friendly golden days. Wow...

Ok so so 3 cons, 3 prosCons:You get lots of adds! Very close together which can be very annoying, sometimes it’s good sometimes it bad, I won’t say more because I want this to be nice and short.Sometimes auto saves can make ropes etc, wires etc. go other places and glitch them out.Sometimes if you play around with too many things connected with too many ropes, wires etc.Pros:Auto saves, they save every 4 mins and every adds.The updates bring more than promised and are normally very big updates.Very simple to play once gotten the hand of and not too much things too.Tips:Ropes I found hard to find and are at the bottom right. If you try to connect a melon with any of the wires or ropes then it may crash your game. There is a new workshop to download mods, if you buy some melon coins don’t use them on any saves that you could easily make or use it on any expensive stuff you don’t actually need.GORE (PLEASE READ!):One last thing is the gore, there is detailed blood and check the age rating, the blood isn’t that bad in my opinion and it’s mostly just one color and not really realistic.I would highly recommend this sandbox-type game as its very like the game ‘sandbox’ and ‘minecraft’. This is my 3rd favourite game (1st is minecraft and 2nd is roblox) so yeah that’s my review! (This took me 3 tries to write it all and not accidentally click off of.

I downloaded this game because I heard you can earn money, I was pleasantly surprised when this turned out to be true. I like how it caters to two demographics; the “players” and the “creators”. Being a part of the latter group myself I enjoy earning a bit of pocket money from people purchasing my creations with the workshop. However, despite being an amazing game, I was disappointed with the amount of advertisements. I believe the way you present them to be deeply flawed, showing full-screen ads every few minutes creates frustration and, especially for younger audiences, causes unjustified 1 star reviews. With the game taking a commission for every purchase on the workshop I view the old advertisement method to be irrelevant. Ads are an essential part of any free game and I understand, but this is not the way forward for this game. Daily rewards maybe? (5 Mel’s for an advertisement). I will continually be looking forward to future updates and additions to the game. Thank you for taking the time to read this review ;)
