Dear Apple, please listen to customers like myself who have stuck with you through thick and thin. I’ve been a logic owner since Emagic Logic Platinum 5 for classic mac. I have Logic Pro X on my 2019 MacBook Pro and rely on it heavily, Moved to an iPad Pro for specific instrument needs and development. What really saddens me is the fact that you want to go down the subscription route for Logic Pro and Final Cut for the iPad Pro. What is that going to do for you? The price of the same for MacOS is a good price and you’re not tied to a subscription. Stop this nonsense and offer customers two options, 1: subscription mode. 2: Perpetual License at full price, that way you make the decision as a customer where you want to go. Either way, you at apple are making a profit. I would rather purchase this as a perpetual license that way I’m not worrying about what goes out of my account considering COST OF LIVING here in the UK which apple don’t have to worry about. Logic for the iPad is a great tool especially for someone like me who is blind and a composer. Moving to the iPad Pro is a huge help, but until Apple listens to customers and gives us the option of a perpetual license for logic, Final Cut Pro, etc, I won’t be wasting time or money on subscription models. I gave Waves Audio and others the push when they started this nonsense, let’s hope you’re not another I ditch.

I’ve been with Logic since Emagic days and dongles and spent the first few years learning the DAW. After my eventual acceptance that I no longer needed to learn I then began to create and followed Logic through its metamorphosis. I can’t say that Logic for iPad is some amazing butterfly it’s not, well it kind of is but in camouflage. I’ve had to learn again but this has not got in the way of creating in fact the opposite. There are endless corridors that lead to different styles, sounds, instruments, tutorials etc etc. What I’m trying to say is that Logic seems bottomless with what it has to offer, I should think I only have scratched 5% of what this extraordinary App has to offer. My only negative with so far as operating is quite confusing and there are many small, unassuming toggles/ buttons to navigate to different pages, plugins etc etc. The best way is to have two or three monitors open to various areas, this is a must. One last gripe is that I can’t use my UA plug-ins that I’ve spent a small fortune on, take note Apple/ Logic developers, you would win so many more if you came up with this small tweak…. Pretty please. I’d give this a ‘five plus’ but I’m afraid due to my last comment it’s a ‘four point five’. A truly clever and thoughtful piece of work, thank you.
Absolutely incredible

At long last a feature rich IOS DAW that can see a project through from start to finish without any so called advance feature tweaking from the desktop environment. You don’t have to go that far back in time to appreciate the outstanding achievement’s from time served recording engineers that had to work with minimal spec recording gear, yet still achieve award winning results. Logic Pro for iPad has now given aspiring studio engineers and recording enthusiasts an array of advanced tools to promote their skills without restriction. The low subscription based model from Apple should also see a regular income stream to support sustainable software development and support. Perhaps the historic trend of one time payments for Apps on this platform has resulted in the observed demise of some seriously excellent DAW products that now receive little in the way of updates. Here’s hoping Logic Pro for iPad will continue to reap the benefits of the subscription based model in continued addition of advanced features.
Brilliant

I don’t quite understand all the negative reviews based on the subscription model. This is a fantastic conversion, transforming the way I make music. Some great apps and generally stable AUv3 plugin capability make this an amazingly manipulable composition and production tool. I’ve barely used Logic on my Mac since using this version. It’s not to say there aren’t glitches - I’ve had problems with some plugins failing to work reliably, but it’s early days, and I can always go back to my Mac to resolve something. I hope the Mac’s audio editing comping ability is introduce so you can choose individual lines from different takes more easily. And I’m not a particular fan of the “project” folder process because it’s easy to lose track of which version you’ve most recently been working on. Other than that, five stars imho.
