I’m not really one to write app reviews but couldn’t not give this company its praise. As an EE UK customer, the prices to roam data in Turkey are borderline criminal (£9 per day for a measly 500MB) so I came across this app to get a data eSIM. As soon as I landed, I turned the line on and started roaming data on the travel sim. It worked perfectly everywhere I went and the speeds were great. I didn’t get any 5G, but that’s simply because 5G in Turkey isn’t really established yet unless you’re in the major cities, so not much anyone can do about that. Having said that, the 4G/LTE signal was superb. It was fast, and never dropped even when I was in the Fethiye mountains. Was easily able to stream live sport on my phone as well which impressed me. Normal stuff like social media and emails was an effortless breeze. If anyone is on the fence on considering using a travel sim from this company, I would urge you to get off it! £23 for a week of fast unlimited data was a very worthy purchase and put my mind at ease. Far cheaper than using EE abroad for sure. Will be buying another one when I head to the UAE in November.

The initial set up was really easy, fair price I guess considering you get unlimited data where as other apps you don't really get that option. Worked absolutely fine, no issues. However, when I wanted to re-new or get another Esim for a different country, the app would not let me put my email address in? Even though I had signed up. With no way to enter an email, there is no way to purchase. I contacted Tech Support and they were not very helpful, suggested turning phone off and on or trying again later but that was it. Obviously I tried everything but nothing worked. Not helpful at all. My wife had the same experience so they just us as customers and we went else where. Genuinely couldn't believe they couldn't resolve the issue and had no real answer. Nomad is a much better app, if you run out of data you can just add more. Even if I wanted to use Holafly again I can't, because the app won't let me purchase. Very strange

Waste of money and such poor custom service.

I recently had a rather frustrating experience with Holafly while traveling to Thailand. I purchased their eSIM for internet access, but unfortunately, it didn't work at all. After trying to resolve the issue, I reached out to their customer service, but it took them ages to respond. By the time they finally sorted things out, I had already lost three days of service, which was incredibly disappointing.When I asked for compensation for those unused days, they flatly refused, claiming they couldn't do that. It felt like a complete rip-off, especially since I ended up paying £16 for just two days of connectivity. I also requested a refund for the days I couldn't use, but all I received was a vague response saying they were"looking into it." Their customer service was utterly lacking, and I felt completely ignored.Overall, I wouldn't recommend Holafly based on my experience. It was frustrating to feel like I was taken advantage of, especially when I needed reliable internet while traveling. If you're considering using their service, just be cautious and perhaps look for alternatives that have better customer support and reliability.

We bought two eSIMs and needed to extend them by one day due to a flight cancellation. The app proved to be next to useless and the information on the Holafly website didn’t correspond at all with what I was seeing in the app. Support was terrible – in a queue for over 40 mins despite it saying I had to wait ‘under a minute’ the entire time. When they did eventually answer they talked me through how to extend my eSIM (they had to make changes on their side for it to work) and I paid for the one day extensions. I explicitly asked the support person if the extension would be seamless with no break in service. An emphatic “Yes” was the answer. Hey presto – service has suddenly stopped with no warning and I’m back in a support queue with goodness knows how long to wait! So, if you love wasting your time and money on a company with very poor support that arguably lies to you to get you off the line, and enjoy not receiving the product you’ve paid for, not to mention the time you’ll have to waste getting through to and repeatedly explaining the situation to them, go for Holafly! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
