AI SKIN SCANNER, MOLE CHECK & SKIN HEALTH
Skinive is CE-marked medical device software, developed with dermatology expertise and used by more than 1 million people worldwide.
Take control of your skin health with Skinive, an AI-powered skin scanner and mole tracker for regular skin checks, skin analysis and monitoring visible changes. Use your smartphone camera to scan a skin spot, mole, rash or other visible concern. Skinive’s dermatology-focused AI analyses visual characteristics and provides risk information.
REAL-TIME AI SKIN SCANNER
Move your camera over your skin to highlight visible spots in real time. Capture an area for a closer AI skin check, review the analysis and save images to your history.
MOLE CHECK & MOLE TRACKER
Photograph moles and skin spots and build a visual history. Monitor changes in size, shape, colour and appearance, compare previous images and set reminders. Mole monitoring supports skin cancer awareness and can help you notice changes worth discussing with a dermatologist.
SKIN CONDITIONS & DERMATOLOGY
Skinive’s AI supports analysis of a broad range of visible skin concerns and dermatological conditions, including:
• Acne and pimples
• Eczema and dermatitis
• Psoriasis and rosacea
• Warts and papillomas
• Herpes and lichen
• Fungal skin conditions and mycosis
• Rashes, spots and other visible skin changes
For relevant pigmented and non-pigmented skin lesions, Skinive can provide AI-assisted risk information associated with melanoma, basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Results support awareness and self-examination and are not a final diagnosis.
SKIN CANCER & MELANOMA AWARENESS
Skinive supports skin self-checks, mole monitoring and awareness of visible characteristics that may deserve closer attention. Keep a photo history of moles and skin lesions and monitor changes over time. AI-assisted risk information can support skin cancer and melanoma awareness and help you decide when to seek professional advice.
If a mole or skin lesion changes, bleeds, becomes uncomfortable or causes concern, consult a dermatologist or qualified healthcare professional.
AI SKIN MONITORING & SKINCARE
Build a personal skin history for different areas of your body. Compare photos, monitor skin changes and set reminders for regular checks. Skinive combines AI skin analysis, mole tracking, skin spot monitoring and photo history in one dermatology app.
Explore personalised educational skincare information related to acne, dry or irritated skin, moisturising and sun protection to support an informed skincare routine.
UV INDEX & SUN AWARENESS
Check the UV index for your current location and follow UV conditions throughout the day. UV tracking, SPF awareness and sun-exposure information complement your skin health routine.

I had a strange skin rash on my arm, and this app helped me understand what it could be. It analyzed the photo and suggested possible causes. The results were surprisingly detailed for a free tool. Great for quick skin checks when you don’t want to visit a doctor right away.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad the app could help you better understand your skin concern. While it’s a helpful tool for quick checks, we always recommend consulting a dermatologist for a full diagnosis when in doubt. Wishing you healthy skin! 🌟
Good idea but seems to have problem with camera focus.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max running 17.0.3 software. When I get to the taking a photo action I find that you app appears unable to focus on the lesion It appears that your app doesn’t have full control of camera controls through the app. My workaround was to take the photo with the native camera app which has full camera control to take a close up in focus picture which I then uploaded to your app. Although this worked its a bit of a faf to do. It would be much better to remain in your app but with full camera control I tried to report this focus issue through your support website from my iPhone. I am unable to submit my support because I found it impossible to actually click the Tick Box confirming my agreement with your data policies.

I’m not sure I believe this apps confidence rating
Jimboogles
Sometimes feeding the AI an image of a spot would reveal it thinks it’s a benign nevus, taking another photo in similar lighting conditions it believes it’s basal cell, another photo in similar lighting conditions it believes it’s acne. The issue is each time it’s scoring a 90% or above confidence rating, which means the AI must be struggling to distinguish details in its training set. I do hope they can improve the AI as at the moment I’m not sure how reliable the outcome is. I gave it a photo of modular acne from a medical journal and it thought this was a basal cell, there was times I fed it a photo of a basal cell and it thought it was a benign nevus. Feels like it’s not as confident as it thinks it is.

The instructions for our app clearly state that the photo must be taken by a smartphone strictly paralleled to the skin. If users do not follow the instructions, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of our algorithm. Please read the instructions carefully and use our software correctly, then you will get a quality analysis.
