iReal Pro is two things musicians love in one app: a realistic backing band that plays along with you, and a huge free library of chord charts you can pull up anytime — at practice, at a jam session, or on a gig. Need to transpose a song for a singer? Done. Want to practice with a full rhythm section behind you? Hit play.

We're a small team of musicians who built this app because we needed it ourselves. We hope you enjoy using it as much as we do.
The interface is intuitive, but powerful enough to handle most charts effortlessly. Playback via standard instruments and styles makes it a great practice tool. The online forum provides access to thousands of standard tunes from every music genre, and makes testing and sharing original tunes simple. You can create custom playlists, so creating and sharing sets is really useful for scratch bands. I’d like to see a move-to-top/bottom option when editing playlists to make it quicker to reorder songs for a set list, but generally this app has you covered.

Thank you for your review ;)
Best music app period

This is an absolutely amazing app. It simply delivers. Huge on Jazz unlike most other apps focusing on RnB and/or Metal. Huge library of songs and super easy to create your own backing tracks. I use it for my own compositions and I find the share audio and share chart features invaluable. I carry just my iPad or iPhone now and have all my track library with me. The two features which would make it perfect for me are 1) to hear the chord we enter in the editor and 2) a way to play along my electric guitar without the need for other programs, even with a simple, generic clean jazz sound. Congratulations to the developers.
A must for any aspiring musician

Apps like this deserve 5 stars. Love and care has been put into its development and the steady improvements are well integrated. ICloud sync is an excellent feature, that clinched the fifth star for me, as when I started using the app it required saving files manually. I bought this app as I wanted to learn jazz and it really did help me understand structure and chord voicing. The price is worth it! You get what you pay for with apps and some users want professional apps at very low prices, which prevents market growth.
Best thing since sliced bread

I don't know how I'd survive as a muso without this brilliant product. For practising, ear-training, sharing, rehearsing, finding chords ... the list is long. And Massimo or Niki is THERE to help you when you need it. They must LIVE this app; they're always there. If it were 10 times the price it would be worth it! If/when all the musos you know and play with use this and share their playlists it ensures you're all playing the same chords - a blessing!
