In response to ‘Unstablepenguin’, this is definitely more than an ordinary internet radio App. I admit to having to spend half an hour learning how to use the iOS Shortcuts App but feel that, along with other examples - Apple Music e.g. - have finally managed to make the HomePod a smarter speaker than it is ‘out of the box’. With Shortcuts it is really easy to set up mini workflows that enable you to avoid manually using Airplay. For example, I have a simple shortcut to play ‘Classic FM Relax’ where I merely say ‘Hey Siri Relax’ which automatically outputs to my Homepods. As an aside, Receiver is the only App where I found this non DJ’d music station! Invest a little time in using Shortcuts and you will be very impressed with this excellent App.
What happened !

This was (and I’ve tried them all) without doubt the best radio streaming app that I have used. With iCloud syncing your play history and favourites are synced across your devices iOS, iPad OS, Mac OS and TVOS.Today however all that integration has stopped, and the app is working on iOS only.I look forward to maybe coming back to edit this review and possibly adding more stars to my experience of the app. Of course that will depend on how soon it’s fixed.
Great on Apple TV and iPhone but not iPad

A radio app that works great across iOS and tvOS. Everything syncs with iCloud. Features include alarms, podcasts and weather. Reliable, tons of radio stations and a simplistic albeit dated UI. The player is based on the stock music app interface prior to iOS 10. Sure it makes the app feel dated but it works fine. All is great unless you’re using an iPad. If you’re in landscape mode you get a digital clock and no way to access to the player controls. It gets annoying having to rotate my iPad almost everytime I use the app. That and implementing the iPad’s multitasking features, slide over and split view, would be much appreciated. Overall, iPad issues aside, well worth the asking price. Having tried multiple radio apps I’ve settled with Receiver and use it daily and my iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
Great, now with Siri Shortcut

Fantastic app, I use it every day. Lots of radio channels I’ve found while living in the UK, US, and elsewhere, so great to have easy access.Took a moment to figure out Siri Shortcuts; you just have to play a radio station then tap the Siri button on the station page to set one up. Once you’ve done that, those Siri Shortcuts also become available in the Shortcuts app. Works well on iPad and AppleTV also. Apple Watch app needs a little attention, but the help desk is responsive so I’m hopeful - I requested Shortcuts and they said they were considering it, and here we are!
- Display of stream quality data such as codec, sampling rate, and bit rate
- Option to disable display of album cover art
- Adaptation to iOS 26 Liquid Design
- Minor bug fixes and improvements
