People are being deceit of getting income from getting gifts, getting diamond and coins.Below are my experiences and things that I noticed: ** There are daily task but to join a family is a must in order to finished the task. The DAILY task for non owner of (family) party room are:* Watch live stream*Give gifts to family member*Sing or make a cover *Join wherever the owner, captain or co captain of the family is.** Giving gift is tricky because you cannot give gift to family member if you don’t have any coins. By getting coins you have to recharge / spend money. Imagine doing this DAILY!** Task for party room owner, same as above plus recharging. The owner needs to be the generous one keep on giving gifts to family members. ** so many Indians kept on giving pearls, make a comment without even listening to my covers. Most of them are for solo so I didn’t sing at all. Blind loves/blind comments are not necessary.** Last thing to add- to watch live stream, if you comment you have to pay. Non vip 10 coins. Vip 3 coins. I spent 1 month as vip in this app, bought coins to give to my friends. People like myself just want to have fun and make friends why milk us DAILY?I ended up deleting my collabs, abandoned my family party room and left with 0 coins. I probably spent like £50 in total for just 1 month.Please learn from my experience.

I honestly think that this is just an app for people wanting to mess around. I don’t mean to sound like I’m boasting or full of myself but I view myself as a very decent singer and I post covers daily. This app has an extremely wide range of songs which is amazing and I love all the effects and dynamics adjustments however I have been noticing that the people who aren’t “good” at singing are getting really high ranks and those with the better voices are placed way lower than they should be. I don’t know how the ranking goes because it doesn’t rank you for likes it doesn’t rank you for how many gifts you’ve had (someone with 10 gifts was higher ranked than someone with 18 gifts) and it doesn’t rank you based on how many people have played your cover I find it really odd. It just seems really fake and people who are actually good at singing aren’t getting the credit they should be getting and there are some very inappropriate party rooms which I think should be monitored and kept PG as this is not an app for s*xual stuff this is a singing app I find it ridiculous that this is going on. Please make changes. I have already started looking for new apps as this one just seems absolutely fake.

The app is amazing, and free at that; you can sing karaoke by yourself or join a room and sing with people. However there is a big problem with how the “streams”(I forgot the technical name for it) are managed, though yes there is a warning that minors cannot use the function; there is no 100% of stopping them. The problem I have is that predators who go on these streams searching for minors go unpunished; for example: I was scrolling through the streams when I passed a stream where a little girl, no older than 9, exposing herself on stream this was quickly reported and the stream ended but the amount of predators encouraging her in the chat was disgusting. I continued scrolling through streams till I saw one of the predators from the reported stream tell 2 girls, around 14, to “lift their shirts up”. Thankfully the 2 girls streaming didn’t speak English and I reported the predator. But on the next day I was told that there was not enough information. Star Maker also has a dm function where anyone can dm someone, imagine how many predators are abusing this function to groom children. This happened months ago, so sadly I do not Renner the predator’s name though I wish I did.

As much as I understand how to keep kids safe on this app, I feel like removing the feature with talking to other people when your under 18 wasn’t necessary. As a younger person myself, those people I talked to brought me joy, and it hurts to see i cannot talk to them anymore, and it’s not fair. It’s been around 2 and a half years since I seen or talked to them, and it also kind of hurts to know that there hasn’t been any sign of this changing. This app seems very kid like and I know there are thousands of kids out there that saw the ad, pressed download and wanted to see how things were going, and to talk with their fans, it actually makes them feel like a celebrity. I felt that way with how many people loved me, but now it feels kinda off. Please change it so that the younger people can talk and join party and karaoke rooms freely again, and maybe my ratings will go higher. Another note, I understand many other reviews were talking about children wanting to see stuff that weren’t exactly kid friendly, however those children should be reported, not make a full update on every under 18 with some of the kids who just wanted to make friends can’t chat to them anymore.
