Review from eCommerce News HQ
“Taking the top eCommerce platform and translating it into a mobile experience can be challenging, but it seems as if Shopify has nailed this attempt. The dynamic between the “normal” web-based version of Shopify, and the mobile app, is amazing, with little to no changes (Except the size being scaled down of course.)“

Updates

***update***
Since writing the below, the team have been in touch with me, for clear details of what I was talking about, identified the issue and have scheduled to fix it in the next update. Amazing service, thank you!

Been using and loving the Shopify app for 6 months but the latest update has taken away some of the information when viewing orders, specifically whether items are part of bundles or not. I thought it was a bug so deleted app and reinstalled but no, and support tell me it is part of the update. It has also condensed other information into single lines and changed layout. The last two I can live with but losing vital information I can’t and means I’ll have to use the full browser instead of app. Really disappointing

Developer Response ,

Hi, this issue is resolved. Thank you for your patience!

Fab system, far too many bugs in editing

So frustrating trying to edit my theme for my store. Takes ages to load a certain section, to then, repeatedly be sent back a step, saying problem occurred, reloading page. I don’t want my customers seeing default titles, and it seems impossible to edit them on my slideshow, sometimes I get lucky in changing one title, then before I can save, it’s done the same thing. Three days I’ve been trying. I clear my browser, try again, I log in from google search, and the app, but it doesn’t help. Also trying to link Instagram is a nightmare. It says I’ve not been approved, but I have not done anything against e-commerce policies and rules, and how long to link Facebook? Says my link been accepted, although all my products, say Facebook disabled, I go to Facebook and i can’t enable as says still being reviewed, also the help reply was useless, only giving me a link to help with my problem, when I stated I had read it all, and followed every instruction, so being told what you’ve already done is not helpful, and only way to reply to their reply is call them or go on chat, why not able to reply to the email? I’m getting so frustrated, my trial period running out, and not sure if I should pay for this service now, when so many problems already. Maybe store not approved untill trial period done on purpose I’m thinking now

App update had broken ability to compare specific dates!

Firstly, Shopify, don’t waste my time by replying to this telling me to go to the generic support homepage to report it there as there’s no link. This is the place for app feedback so please pass it to the right people rather than fobbing me off!

This latest update to the app is a classic example of what happens when people who don’t actually use a product themselves make design changes. It used to be so easy (and is essential!) to be able to compare one date’s performance with another (e.g. if I want to compare today’s performance with the same day last week’s performance). I used to be able to just select ‘compare to’ on the first screen but that’s gone entirely and shopify seems to have decided that all anyone cares to compare today to is yesterday. A complete misunderstanding about the way we need to look at our data running an ecommerce business. How do we compare one date/date range’s performance to a specific different one Shopify??

Developer Response ,

Hi there, Gareth! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. If you can reach out via our Help Centre here: (https://shopify.link/7PNJ) we can gather more info from you to file your feedback internally as a request. Thanks again! -Don, Shopify Support
