All that I could ask for…

I have used this app for several years now, following a rather exhaustive search of what was available to catalogue my large and ever-growing library. I have a weakness that compels me to buy and read books, of many genres, new and pre-loved. As my long-suffering wife returns one book to a second-hand shop, I am usually found purchasing three more.Simply put, this is a superb app. It continues to evolve and improve. After I have considered what might be a useful development, I find that my mind has been read, and the helpful addition added in one of the fairly frequent updates - even before I have have had it requested!I do not know what alternatives there are now to “Book Buddy.” I no longer am interested in looking. Even my wife will admit that having catalogued the thousands of books we share, over a number of places, has been a welcome and useful task.I do not usually write reviews but, on entering yet another of my library additions, it seemed appropriate to laud “Book Buddy” for having become truly indispensable. I dread to think what I would do if it were to be unsupported one day but, hopefully that day will never come (and I will always be able to use the uploaded .CSV file backup, anyway!)Thank you for continuing to improve what I often believe can be improved no further . Refreshingly, I am invariably shown to have been wrong, yet again.It is, simply, all I could ask for…

I use this and its partner apps MediaBuddy and MusicBuddy most days. The data is stashed locally, not in some cloud where you have no clue what it may be being used for. Backing up is easy. Restoring from a backup is easy. Everything is made easy for you, though it takes a little practice to find some functionality, like the loaning and borrowing aspects.A couple of suggestions, if I may?First up, I’m very pleased with the new statistics capability. Would it be possible to add the ability to select your reading statistics from date ranges, please? At the moment, it offers “month”, “year” and “all time”, rather limiting its use. Being able to input a user supplied date range would be very helpful!Secondly, I’m not sure if any books that you have borrowed and finished are included in your statistics totals. At first glance, it looks to me that your page statistics are only calculated from books read from within your own collection. Would it be possible to add books that you borrowed and completed to the statistics? Perhaps a separate drop-down, or maybe integrated stats.Finally, and this is a very big ask. If your company were to create an app for comics, I believe it would be a category killer. A “ComicBuddy” would make an excellent addition to your stable of inventory apps, and one I would certainly include on my own list.Thank you!

I have used this app now, the pro version, for about 10 days, and have input nearly 400 books. Each time I have asked customer support a question they have replied in depth and very quickly.I have requested a new feature, for example, (whereby the user can I add several photographs instead of just one, and customer support replied with a very useful workaround, and I hope a future version will include the additional photographs option.Overall after extensively using the app and the services of customer support I rate the app as excellent.The minimal cost of the pro version will easily be offset by my never having to buy a duplicate book by mistake again.

I had been meaning to keep track of books I own for ages, I was dreading having to sort through them all and make a note of the various titles and authors. Listening to the radio one morning the topic of conversation was list apps, I searched on the off chance that one existed for books and I wasn't disappointed. The multiple scan option is brilliant and you can edit the picture so it matches your own copy. I like the fact you can edit the genre (as it has come up with strange categories) and I like the fact you can sort by author, genre etc. The app also works on books bought abroad as I have a number of books in french. I bought the package which included music and films (music buddy and movie buddy).
