The Funbridge app is the must for those who want to play online bridge, learn the game and progress at their own pace. With Funbridge, enjoy playing duplicate or multiplayer bridge anywhere, anytime!
Bridge is an exciting card game played by four players in two teams of two called “partnerships”. The bridge partners sit opposite each other at a table. The game of bridge consists of a number of “deals” (also “boards” or “hands”) and involves two stages: there is an “auction” (also called “bidding”) to determine the contract to be made, and then the “card play” where you must reach the goal set.
On Funbridge, you play in South, whereas North, East and West are played by a specialised artificial intelligence, the same for all players. So, you don’t need to wait for other players to play bridge. The AI is available 24/7 to allow you to play bridge whenever you want.
You can also play multiplayer bridge with your bridge friends or players from all over the world.
Funbridge offers a unique game experience by enabling all players to play the same bridge deals. The objective is simple: score the highest and compare yourself to other bridge players in dedicated rankings.
Whether you’re a beginner, back to the game or an expert, Funbridge is here to help you while you progress in bridge.

I must say that overall the bridge engine is very good and it would not take much for one to play very well with the robots, especially in defence, as it is here that the robots carding is impossible to read. A particular example is when it holds 3 cards - for example it will lead the middle card from Jxx, either the top or middle card from xxx. Given the last example, if it leads the middle card and you win with the K from AK, when you play the ace it will play its lowest card! So you don’t know if it has 3 or 2 cards. Another thing is one can not select how you wish to respond to the opening lead - give count’ or ‘attitude’, where you can encourage continuation with , say, a high card. Running through the conventions you can choose it implies I think that the agreed system is to give ‘count’ but this is not always the case. It’s the same when on lead in the middle of the play. I think ‘attitude’ is best but from a software point of view it is probably best to always give count so there is no decision to make! I also agree with the first reviewer where it would be nice to be able to change the conventions that are in the system that you are unaware of... I have mentioned as an alternative in some email correspondence that it would be great to access a copy of the whole system- maybe as a pdf. I know you can find out what bids mean by ‘clicking’ on the bid but it slows the game down so much if you have to click on all possible bids to see what they mean.If these improvements could be made then the Argine bridge engine might be my favourite partner!

I love playing bridge but don’t have a partner and have no interest in joining a club. Playing funbridge has improved my game and been a productive use of leisure time. It is useful to check that partner’s bid is what you think it is and that what you are going to bid indicates what you have in your hand.Unfortunately the website can be frustratingly slow at times and in the winter I cancelled my subscriptions as the play was excruciatingly slow. I am a paid up member again and hope that once people are able to play in clubs, the computer generated game will become fast again. At the moment I can’t recommend Funbridge because at peak times it is too slow.

Great way to learn Bridge

I started with my Bridge in about November and I have taken all of the lessons and have now played many hands of Bridge. Just two months later I can feel my confidence improving. I still make some terrible mistakes but I think less and less often. I put my improvement down to the very good instruction in The Funbridge app. Well done guys!! Still playing now after over a year. It has certainly not been plain sailing but I think I can feel I am becoming more experienced and understand my errors better - still too many though. Must say though Funbridge has been really good

As its name suggests, Funbridge is very enjoyable. It’s very nicely designed and easy to play, and the organisation of the various ways of competing with other players and with the computers is very well done. My only criticism is that there are significant flaws in the software, in particular a lack of consistency in the way the software works in any given hand, that undermines the results. In other words, with identical bidding and play on the part of the players, the computer will play in different ways. Given how long Funbridge has been going, this is a problem they should have sorted out by now and I can only assume that they don’t really see it as a problem. But it really is and a very frustrating one. Maybe they will attend to it soon.

Hello, J. Nicklaus! Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your positive comments on the design and gameplay. We apologize for any inconsistencies you experienced and assure you that we are continuously working to improve our software for a better experience. Please keep in mind that the same bid can have a totally different meaning depending on your bidding system and conventions! We wish you good games!
The app is regularly updated (bug fixes and improved performance) to offer you the best gaming experience. Thank you for using Funbridge!
