The house exterior in lemon yellow or sun yellow? A bedroom in strawberry red? RAL iCOLOURS shows how things could look. With this app for iPhone and iPad, you can now recolour the objects in your photos with any RAL colour – quickly and easily.
In only three steps, anything can be recoloured with RAL iCOLOURS:
1.Take a photo with your iPhone.
2.Select one of 2,328 RAL colours.
3.Recolour the object in the photo.
RAL iCOLOURS is as useful as it is inspiring. Painters, architects, graphic designers and Web designers can now make it easier for their customers to make colour decisions. With the RAL Colours app, you can quickly give them a picture of your colour concept. You can present colour designs to your customers on site and display alternatives directly. And you can save your colour selection by project name and send photos of recoloured objects via email.
The app’s colour palette includes the RAL CLASSIC and RAL EFFECT colour collections and all of the colours in the RAL DESIGN System – all 2,328 RAL colours. The corresponding L*a*b*, sRGB, CMYK and LRV values are listed for each colour. And RAL iCOLOURS is also compatible with COLORCATCH NANO, the Colorix colorimeter. This device incorporates a revolutionary new technology to accurately measure the color of smooth, structured or patterned surfaces to determine the corresponding color of the preselected swatch. NANO reads and measures 50'000 pixels separately. During reading it eliminates automatically all non-dominant colors such as shade effects and dirty surfaces.
For better understanding of the functions and use of the App, please watch the demo on the video first.

more I find the RAL colours ok but there is no easy way to put a colour onto a portion of your photo. A lot of messing about. Not worth the money.

Figured I would try this App as it listed 2000+ colours compared with the 200 in the Classic colour books.Checking a few colours, they are close as a indication, but changing phone screen brightness and contrast it does not appear possible to get the same colour on the phone screen as per the RAL cards

I'm a designer and this looks good and works good. Would be better if there was a tutorial within the app. And in future ?? a real time colour changer for surfaces though the camera as you move around.

COLORCATCH NANO 2 is the revolutionary color measuring device that makes life easier for all professionals who work with color. It is the world's first Bluetooth camera connected to a smartphone, it offers unprecedented convenience and accuracy in color measurement. The new optical head on the device eliminates gloss and stray light, providing improved color measurement on plastic surfaces.
Additionally, COLORCATCH NANO 2 is one of the only colorimeters in the world to be equipped with a camera, which allows for maximum accuracy even on textured surfaces. With its advanced technology, the device reads and measures more than 50,000 pixels separately, automatically removing any non-dominant colors such as shadow effects and dirt.
The camera on COLORCATCH NANO 2 is a significant advantage, as it allows professionals to see exactly what is being measured. This is especially useful for measuring fine details, such as the color of a small symbol on a carpet and in the textile and printing industries. The ability to visualize the measurement enhances the accuracy and efficiency of the color measurement process.
With its advanced optical head, integrated camera, and ability to accurately measure even on textured surfaces, it's the perfect tool for professionals working with color.
