LearnEnglish Grammar is a free grammar practice app designed to help improve English grammar accuracy. The app offers 1000s of questions to help practise and reinforce your English grammar skills.

The app is suitable for learners of all levels and offers grammar activities at Beginner (CEFR level A1), Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced (CEFR level C2). Start at your level, and as your grammar accuracy improves, progress to the next.

This app is good. But the one bad thing I’ve seen so far is the fact there are listening questions. These questions are nearly impossible for me, and would be for many other people to attempt as I have a severe deafness. Also, in the nicest way, for people talking about adverts - just put your phones WiFi off and they will stop. But it is nice to help out these companies who are kind enough to create these apps for people for free.

Overall, this app is a great free resource to test your knowledge of the main grammatical features of the English language. You learn from your mistakes and self-correct as you go.Pros: • It’s free!• It covers the most common structures you need to use English accurately.• The app’s UI (user interface) is user-friendly and intuitive. • It’s FREE!Cons:• It doesn’t always accurately contextualise grammar. For example, see ‘going to’ for plans and present continuous for something happening now. In one contextualising picture, they’re cycling to work, not going to cycle to work. Learners should read further on given grammar points to better understand when a particular structure is needed.• It could be more top-down in its delivery so as to help learners notice how a grammar point is applied in real life.• It tests more than it teaches. People learn that answer x is wrong and y is correct, but the reason for this is not covered. In my view, it is good not to get so focused on grammar as to lose the learner in grammar metalanguage, but some explanation of rules helps the learner to make better, more accurate decisions about grammar structure.• Yes, there are adverts. However, it has to be monetised somehow to compensate for the thousands of hours of hard work put in. It’s a fantastic resource, especially seeing as it is free. I am new to this app.I am using this to learn advanced level of grammar and this app is really useful to start from beginner level and progress to advance level. it helps you to get your basics right.

This app has a lot potential to help you understand English a lot better. It’s just a shame it’s swarmed with ads. I understand that the developers of this app need to make money, but why can’t their be a option to make a one off payment to remove ads? I would happily pay to remove all the ads from this app. The ads on this app are some of the most aggressive I have ever seen. As soon as you open the app, ad, in the middle of practicing, ad. It’s really starting to get annoying. The more ads I get, the more I want to stop using the app altogether and delete it off my phone. Please consider more options to benefit all users.

If you update the app to the latest version (v3.12.0) you'll find we've introduced an in-app purchase to remove all 3rd party ads from the app for a very small fee.
