Zello can save all the chat history for you whilst your status is set to busy & you can play them all in one chunk when you want to like a global digital radio talk show, Zello has voting features and some users can become moderators or administrators of other people’s channels or set mods and admins for their own. Zello is the number 1 social speaking and listening app but it is also useful in emergency situations or just as a way to maybe find new friends or to get to know the ones you have more, with subjects ranging from every possibility imaginable & even radar for users of the paid service “Zello work” Zello is the number 1 communication app. “Key up!” - Zello slang for “getting the button”

The pros Speaking with likeminded people from all over the world for free The cons People exposing other users addresses and telephone numbers even pictures of family members (even children) Folk calling the police and takeaways once they have your IP address I have been on zello for over a decade and have seen the decline with certain cretins on this app I feel like posting there names but that would make me just as bad as them I do however report them on zello But am sure there inundated with floods of these reports so hopefully The bad users will have their ip block soon Although saying that the culprits use Parallel apps to make hundreds of different accounts

Zello at one point was huge and still has the ability to be a fantastic app. However, the removal of trending menus to easily identify channels which are live and active is no longer a option. Each and every channel has nobody active, it’s too difficult to work out how to find exciting groups and you have to use key words which for a new user you would now. This boils down to the fact you set up a channel and unless you can physically bring people to your group from another app or real life, new users on Zello will find it near impossible to find you. The app is now just a shell to what it once was. Trying to get new people to join channels is to difficult. So now you have channels which are no longer active. The interface & options on Zello is complicated for new users with the lack of option to live video stream is still not available. I feel the developers are reluctant to make any changes and sadly they are not moving along with the times, they are known to ignore advice and feedback. I cannot see the app moving forward until new fresh developers or owners take over.

The app is technically brilliant. You can talk on channels (private or public) or with individuals. You can push to talk and also relisten to history on the chats. New audio gets automatically played through notifications like a real radio. Excellent. But the apps layout and UX is confusing and frustratingly difficult at times. Things aren't where you expect them and sometimes take a number of experimental clicks until you find the right menu. This can be easily resolved and could make a functionally brilliant app perfect!
