I’ve been using Depop since it launched around about the same time I started my business and I’ve just hit around 730 reviews. The app has come a long way since the beginning. Customer service has always been top notch for me and both seller and buyer experiences have been fab. Sales have slowed since the initial opening. I don’t know whether this is because there was a huge hype in the early days and now products are lost amongst millions of other product listings. Other than that. Depop is perfect for making a little extra cash on top of the sales generated on my main website. I have a little suggestion for listings as this would be a huge help for both myself and other similar businesses. It would be great if there was an option to duplicate/copy a current listing so it could be edited quicker for a newer listing. This way, the size variations available would already be in place for the new listing and most of my shipping terms and made to order turn around information wouldn’t need to be copied and pasted every time I list a new product. It would just be a case of uploading pictures, changing a few descriptive words and altering quantities. It would save time having to manually input the information. Also, a holiday mode option would also be great too. Like a little alert at the top of the page to say ‘open for business’ or ‘Seller away until.....’ Perhaps an announcement bar at the top of a users page? When I go away on holiday I always post to advise potential customers but this is often overlooked.

Why is it that at buyer has the ability to not write a review, which is akin to ‘no reference’ therefore appears unhappy, or even a bad one which isn’t true, and the seller has no ability to respond to that review for other potential buyers to see???The word count for your bio is so limited that sellers are forced to use up item spaces to put ones terms and conditions is as it won’t all fit in the bio letter count, and the more items you add to the page means it moves from near the top so doesn’t get read??? Not all buyers have integrity, and I’m sure neither do all sellers. But it’s frustrating when you receive a bad review despite already stating the postage price, and putting no refunds or returns, that sellers are put in a position to refund or risk a bad review, if the seller has found the same item cheaper, only not new, after their purchase of a new item from yourself. Pretending an item is faulty, when brand new. in order to buy the identical item after their purchase from you, enables the buyer to blackmail you into a refund, or write a bad review that you can’t directly respond to, for potential buyers to see. The buyer can also, when having received their purchase, either intentionally or accidentally, damage the item themselves, but pretend this is how it was sold, therefore not as described!!! All a little one sided me thinks ☹️

Would give 0 star. Update: the website clearly specifies in numerous places of the website UK sellers get 'paid out in 2-3working days'.. emailed and told the wrong information. Even there's something wrong with the staff or something wrong with the website - either way, the entire depop image is ruined. It was great before, didn't need changing at all. All businesses go out its way to proving the best and easiest options to getting the primary objective done, so why depop? Why the epic failure in providing the very best ? Customer service: disgusting stupid -'Gina' should never have been employed; should be stacked. Update: after a successfully completed sale, got the dumbest message from the depop stating my ghd hair straightens goes against their policy - there are already loads of ghd items on the website before i even listed mine for sale. Also, Gina from 'customer service' (she might want to remember that occupational title) had 'refused my appeal' - IT'S ILLEGAL TO REFUSE ANY APPEAL. The 'create listing' page has a section missing where it use to show a tab to add which method of postage to use - i since noticed, some idiots at depop thought it would be a great (NOT) idea to change the payout condition, so now i cant out the item until i have the money to pay for the postage but cant get the money out of depop's pathetic hands until the item has been delivered. Clearly some idiots at that business didn't want its website to continue to flourish - well, it's just as well there are laws in all countries that PREVENT monopolising.

DO NOT GET THIS APP unless you’d happy with daylight robbery, terrible customer service , useless support staff and random account suspension or in my case DELETED ACCOUNT. like many others the pandemic has had a turbulent effect on my finances, but depop was a giving me some sort of income despite depop ( who take 10% of whatever you make + pay pal fees ) I’ve had the app since 2018 , over the years I managed to get 131 items sold and over 200 5 star reviews so imagine how much money depop was making from me. Today they decided to permenantly delete my account due to “ out of app transactions “ I know the depop rules from being a seller for years and I’d never disobey them. Common sense would tell the depop team that having used the app for many years why would I put my 5 star reviews and feedback at stake for the sake of an out of app transaction it doesn’t even make sense ? Depop take advantage of their sellers , are terrible at handling cases and give insulting automated responses which I can guarantee they will do here if they decide to respond Its a great app for finding bargains but you can find bargains on other apps , the worst thing is I can never use depop again not even to buy something You’ve now lost a loyal buyer and seller and to whoever’s reading this review take this as a message to STAY CLEAR OF DEPOP
