I'm very happy that when I bought this new occasions+ app my old version stayed on my iPhone. I don't like the look of the new version, and it's not as easy to use. I have to delete manually dates that have passed, where as previously they would have scrolled round. Hopefully birthdays etc are going to scroll as before. The font isn't as clear, bold and easy to read as the old version. I will still be using my old one as long as I can.

I have marked this down because of the following reasons number one you can't seem to delete automatic backups unless you go into your file system however it will let you delete manually created backups. Number two I have got badge notifications showing on my iPhone and not showing on my iPad all settings are identical within the app and on both devices yet still I cannot get this to work correctly. Number three when you create a backup on one device to then restore it on the other it displays the default icons which is a bit offputting when you are used to looking at the custom ones you've created on your phone, it does say all images must be stored on your phone yet this seems backwards if you want to create a back up then you have to go in and modify it on another device you have restored it to because the basic function of synchronising to the iCloud this app just does not offer so you really do not have no other choice. You cannot delete the default icons some of which are just simply hideous looking and non-related to the event in question it would be useful if you could just simply remove the icons and have nothing there as an option it would be a lot better and easier on the eye. overall it is a reasonably slick app that does feel a little buggy and lacks basic features that are just normal in other competitor apps however you do get some nice options in this app like multiple events et cetera which other apps some do not have. it also seems to throw up multiple notifications for one event like example a birthday so if you set three notifications for three separate days leading up to the event it creates 3 badge notifications which just adds confusion to the clutter of notifications where you think you have just the one. although it does a reasonable job of what it's supposed to do it does however create confusion and irritating nuances that really shouldn't be there as its job is purely to make things simpler not more complex, time consuming and confusing.

...the app won't update because my old iPad is stuck at iOS16 and the app updates require iOS18. Not that I mind the app not updating (if it works, it works!), but this gets in the way when I'm trying to "update all" (the only way to make progress is to cancel and then update every app individually), and I am also now worried that all my calendar reminders might vanish at some point.Surely there's a way to keep compatibility with older iOSs, for those of us without the latest tech.

Been using this app for years and it’s saved me multiple times for upcoming birthdays and events. Far more flexible than the regular calendar with multiple reminders as well as showing next age and birthstones etc. On top of this, it’s updated every OS with helpful support (rarely needed).Just buy it!
