NOTES
Download the app on Wi-Fi from your network at home or use any free Wi-Fi network. Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. Many phone/data networks may block the download because of size - so it's important to download over a Wi-Fi network.
CHARGING:
++ Continued use of GPS/Location Services in the background increases battery usage. We strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charge to keep your phone charged, and avoid charging through the USB port.
AUDIO:
Listen directly from your phone or connect to the car stereo via Bluetooth. Avoid using a direct connection to the USB port of a rental vehicle as this can cause audio issues. The audio can play through your car’s Apple CarPlay and Android Auto display, please note that the map will display only on your phone.
IPADS:
** iPad models must include a GPS chip. Please note only the iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular models of iPad contain a GPS chip. Wi-Fi-only iPad models have limited location service capabilities and are unable to play commentary automatically.
DOWNLOADING:
The apps are larger in size in order to work offline. You must download the app ahead of time over Wi-Fi (recommended) or cellular data. Once downloaded, you can tour offline without cell service.

Never left a review before but I felt compelled to leave one for this app. It made our journey through the rockies a really rewarding experience. We nicknamed the guy ‘awesome app man’ as he told us interesting stories and when and where to stop. He tells you of the ‘must see’ places as well as the ‘if you have time’ places and tells you the nature of the stop (short walk, or 10 mins from car park etc) as well as the longer hikes such as 1-3 hours etc. We would have missed so much on our trip if he hadn’t pointed out what to look for and when to stop. Worth every penny we paid for the app.
A must have for the Icefields Parkway

We used all of the Rocky Mountains guides on our recent trip to the area. They were so useful in pointing out must-see views, explaining the landscape we were driving through, the history of how the rockies were first discovered and also giving tips on good places to find wildlife. It really is like having a personal tour guide in your car. Having spoken to other tourists on our stay who did not use the guide, we definitely got to see more interesting places and learned much more about the area we were travelling through.
Great Companion on the Icefields Parkway

This app really added so much to our enjoyment of this spectacular drive. The interesting information from our guide (we named him Frank) kept us entertained while also giving us a much deeper understanding of the fascinating landscape we were passing through. Frank also gave us very useful tips about which places were ‘must sees’ and which stops could be worthwhile only if we had plenty of time. Having the commentary tightly linked to our location using GPS was brilliant and very useful for identifying exactly where to stop. It was like having a local expert along for the ride. We became so used to Frank’s timely comments that we were sometimes surprised when he didn’t comment as we saw bears along the side of the road. The Jasper app was also excellent.
Great guide

First review I’ve ever left, but this guide is so good I felt I needed to congratulate the people behind this. We found this guide very useful and informative during our drive. All the main photo stops are pointed out in plenty in of time and we also found some nice little spots we’d have missed without this guide. We will definitely use this again the next time we visit Canada
