I’ve tried most of the terminal apps out there and Termius is steps ahead of the rest. Support for Mosh is awesome and really, a must for a mobile terminal due to the support connection disconnects etc. The premium subscription is worth it in my eyes, I can appreciate why some find it expensive and would like more free features, but for ‘the cost of a coffee’ per month, and given how much time goes into an app like this, we shouldn’t complain. Device syncing works flawlessly, and the terminal is extremely customisable. Nice to see themes such as Solarized light & dark included. The SFTP feature is incredibly useful, and on iPad it provides a split ‘commander’ view which would usually require a dedicated app. Overall I’m incredibly impressed with Termius and have switched over all my connections from other apps. The only suggestions I have for the developers are..Ability to choose between Mosh and SSH connection when you tap on a host. Sometimes Mosh is most appropriate, sometimes SSH (Mosh isn’t great when using vim on a server), but currently you need to edit the connection and disable Mosh before you can use SSH. It would be ideal to have the choice of Mosh like you currently do with SSH and Telnet. Files without an extension (Brewfile etc) are shown as directories in the SFTP view, meaning you can’t edit them or treat them like files. Minor but could trip me up in the future. Extremely well done app, you won’t be disappointed if you’ve used the other options out there. Just be prepared for a premium subscription if you want anything other than basic SSH support.
Brilliant app but unrealistic pricing

This app is brilliant on many plans (smooth, well designed, very stable, etc.), I actually use it as its free version, the features bundled being sufficient for my usage. I very quickly considered upgrading to the paying version as SCP was integrated as well as many other great features. That would have allowed me to integrate several apps I'm currently using into a single one. What a bad surprise however when I saw they would not offer a one-off sell option! I mean, this is ridiculous, a SSH Swiss-army-knife doesn't need to be in the cloud, especially if you don't care much about syncs. Neither it justifies a near-to-$10-per-month bill!Do you guys (I'm addressing de devs) realise that you're asking more money than Adobe does charge for incredibly complex and much more added value software (see Lightroom and Photoshop bundle which are less than $10/month)? I mean, Terminus is an amazing piece of soft, but you gotta be realistic, many people won't fall for your overpriced plans... Just because the Woz gave you a cool review doesn't mean you can charge like Apple would!Anyway, many thanks for the free beer, really hoped you guys would consider a one-off paid version which I would gladly pay for, even if it means no cloud sync icing on the Terminus cake.
When will app devs get real?

I'd love to see a cost/benefit analysis of subscription model vs one off paid or paid incremental upgrades. Some of my music apps are actually quite expensive, but at least the one off payment ensures that you dont have money leeching out of your account all the time. Come on guys. Seriously if all apps did this goodness knows how much you'ld have to cough up each and every month? It's bad enough with recurring phone bills, hosting bills, rent and the thousand other monthly bills we have to find money for without adding to the burden for the privilege of securely connecting my ipad to my remote server. It's bad enough that Apple didn't see fit to build a terminal into ios, but hey, you guys rightly stepped up to the mark and produced a great solution. So don't go and spoil it by squeezing us 'til the pips squeak. The irony is that the free version is quite adequate but doesnt get you any revenue, but the paid version is so completely impossible to finance it puts people off from considering it. How's that for logic? Did some lunatic highly paid financial consultant dream this up or was it an avaricious venture capitalist? Take the app 'paper' by wetransfer. The free app is really great. I use it all the time. It doest even have ads. But the paid subscription is over $100 a year! I'd be more than willing to buy it outright for a fair sum but I just. Will. Not. Pay a monthly subscription. How many willing buyers are you shutting out? I guess you don't know. I get that development is pricey. I get you need revenue. Then just create one off payments for different features. Or new versions. Cubasis did this. I bought cubasis 2. And then, instead of upgrading, they bought out cubasis 3 - which I bought. And maybe they will bring out cubasis 4. Which I may or may not buy because I have 2 and 3. But at least they are being fair. And in return I'm being fair to them. Don't get me wrong guys. I like what you've done. I want to give you some cash in return. But just not this way. Guess you can tell I'm frustrated. It's probably the lockdown! Hope this doesnt fall on deaf ears.
Great free app, subscription is way overpriced
SquiddleBit
Not much to say. It’s a terrific free app for use as an ssh client. Can’t fault in any way. However the subscription pricing is ludicrous. 60dollars a year? Half the features locked away are certainly useless for 90% of users, so even if they justify this pricing you pay for a bunch of features that just aren’t useful. A 2 tier pricing system would be preferable with appearance options and syncing behind a lower tier and others (ie additional protocols) behind the current subscription pricing. I use this app daily, but the pretty basic features I want are lumped together with a load of extensive but specialised features I would never use and so can’t justify a subscription.
- Added support for ML-DSA key generation and authentication (requires server-side ML-DSA support).
