Braintoss captures a thought in seconds—type, speak, or photograph it—and sends it to your email or webhook destinations in one flow.
WHAT YOU USE IT FOR
• Voice notes transcribed and emailed
• Photos of whiteboards, receipts, documents, or business cards—sent with a useful subject
• Quick typed reminders and to-dos
• Share from Safari, Mail, Photos, and other apps into Braintoss, then send where you want
VERSION 10
Braintoss 10 is rebuilt as a native iOS app with a modern capture screen, clearer Settings, and steadier delivery and retries. Long-press Send (or Edit in History) to choose destination, subject, and optional message body before sending. Share extension and Apple Watch work with Quick or Advanced modes. Dark mode on the main screen. Optional on-device speech and image analysis for captions; sending uses secure connections to Braintoss’s delivery service.
PRIVACY, LOCAL-FIRST
Your captures go to the destinations you configure. App Store builds ship with optional usage telemetry turned off by default. Optional Help & Support Debug Mode can add context to emails you choose to send to support; logs stay on your device unless you share them.

Braintoss used to be great, and at the centre of my organisational life. But these days notes get queued, and often come through without any kind of metadata, like transcription of text or detection of QR codes. It’s just too unreliable to be useful, which is a real shame.

Easy to use

I love this - it’s quick and simple so I can dictate whilst driving and I have it on my main bottom menu of my iPhone so I can get straight to it. The option to email to different accounts at a button press is also really handy. I do sometimes find myself forgetting to send a reminder and then it loses it so a way to keep drafts would be great.
Great app, some glitches to resolve

This app is a brilliant way to get ideas and jobs to be done out of your head and into your inbox. It’s amazing when it work well. However, the moment, many of my messages are getting queued. This means I only receive them if I go into the app and refresh. If this can be resolved, the app would deserve 5 stars for sure.

Just a simple, yet useful tool.

On both my iWatch and my iPhone - I use daily.Configured to go to Evernote. With a bit of geekery it’s even possible to set Evernote tags - which I do. My ideas either go to Evernote (for reference) or Evernote + Evernote Reminder set for 7am the next Friday - when I do my weekly review (also give my ideas thinking time) or Evernote + Ayoa using that integration for something that definitely needs acting on at some point…. Hundreds of possibilities. Defo worth 5 star
