Everpin is a private map journal for the places you've been.
Drop a pin, import the photos that already remember where you were, and keep every city, trail, and favorite spot on one map.
PLACES Press and hold the map to drop a pin. Import geotagged photos and Everpin turns them into places, with the picture, the date, and the city. Open a place for the photo, the map, Street View, notes, the address, and the coordinates.
YOUR WORLD Countries fill in as you add places. The more pins in a country, the deeper the color, and you can choose that color. Filter the map by list, spin the globe, and check your stats: countries, cities, places, and recent visits.
LISTS Sort places into Memories, Nature, Travel, Restaurants, and lists you create. Each list has its own color.
PRIVATE Your journal syncs through your private iCloud. There is no Everpin account. Original photos can stay in your Photo Library.
ALREADY USING EVERPIN? Places saved in earlier versions are brought into the new journal.
EVERPIN PREMIUM Unlimited places and photo pins, unlimited lists, export to CSV, JSON, and GPX, backup and restore, and advanced map styles. Monthly, yearly, or lifetime. iCloud sync is included without a subscription.

I purchased this app as I travel a lot and wanted to keep record of my trips and destinations. I was unhappy initially as the app wouldn't even allow me to accurately plot my home address! So I upgraded to to the pro version expecting that would resolve the problem. It hasn't! I cannot even drop a pin on my home address! I can drop a pin where the app says I live (2 streets away) - I can change the colour of the pin that indicates where I don't live - but I cannot correct it, I cannot change the tag on the pin and wish I had not wasted my money. If you want an app that will place a pin where it wants (not where you want), that doesn't allow you to creat custom labels (for example 'Home', 'work') and will just give a rough idea of where you have been then this is the perfect app for you. If however you want one that is accurate and customisable then do not purchase this disappointing app!
Problems with premium package

After using this app for several years, have had to purchase the lifetime premium package to retrieve my data. Disappointed that the data does not sync, even though this is noted as a feature of the premium package. Restore purchases does not work. Syncing with iTunes does not work. No response to my call for help from the app developer. Apparently also not entitled to a refund. This used to be a really handy, well presented app which I have enjoyed using. Disappointed that it has deteriorated so much in recent months.

I was looking for an app exactly like this and I found it last year. It is soo easy to use and you can add pin and track where you have been so easily. Highly recommend this app if you want to document your travels or day trips. One thing I would add is places you want to go so you can change the pins as you go.
What I've Been Looking For

The concept behind this app is excellent - just what I've wanted to be able to record my various travels. The choice of map service is excellent and it's easy to use and UI fluid. InvaluableI realise this is only the first iteration but there is a huge amount of potential for upgrades. Few ideas: simpler way of adding past trips (great for current but adding the places I've been is a little time consuming), option to add countries only from a pick list, option to view shading only without pins, adding a photo or two would be nice, adding in routes, sync between iPhone / iPad Buy it!UPDATE- following upgrade app crashes immediately on launch -iPad2 and iPhone5. Great app but certainly not worth buying until this is fixed. And I really don't want to delete and reinstall after entering all info into it

• Place lists use a small photo, so scrolling a large journal stays quick
• Able to delete photo in a pin
