WHAT IS VENUE?
Venue is a free room decorating app for iPhone and iPad where players style realistic interior spaces, complete client projects, and design your room as they imagine it. One of the calmest decorating games on the store, Venue replaces match-3 and energy meters with intuitive drag-and-drop styling, soothing music, and a deep catalog of real-world decor.
WHAT MAKES VENUE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER HOME DESIGN GAMES?
Venue is one of the few home design games with no puzzles, no timers, and no daily play limits. Most popular decorating games lock progress behind match-3 or energy mechanics. Venue is built around the design itself: you spend your time styling, not solving. The catalog feels like a real interior decorating app, with textiles, lighting, and furniture modeled on current interior design trends, placing Venue among the best interior design apps for players who care about realism.
IS VENUE A GOOD GAME FOR ADULTS WHO WANT TO RELAX?
Yes. Venue is built as a calm creative home design game for adults. With soothing music, intuitive controls, and a deep library of dream room ideas, it suits evening wind-down, anxiety-friendly play, or quiet creative time. Many players use Venue the way others use coloring books: a low-stakes outlet for creativity, unlike most pressure-driven design games.
HOW DO YOU PLAY AND PROGRESS IN VENUE?
You receive a client brief, a blank room, and a curated catalog of furniture, lighting, plants, wallpapers, and textiles. Drag pieces into place, mix textures, and submit when happy. Earn rewards, unlock locations, and move through a designer career story. Weekly Limited Series, Pet Events, and the Style Book keep things fresh, setting Venue apart from generic room decoration games.
WHAT KINDS OF ROOMS CAN YOU DESIGN IN VENUE?
Venue covers living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, home offices, outdoor patios, and vacation properties from villas to cabins, penthouses, and cottages, one of the most varied games for house design available. It delivers the kind of range games about designing a house rarely offer.
WHO IS VENUE BUILT FOR?
• Adults looking for interior design games to unwind with after work
• Interior design fans who want home decor play without renovation costs
• Players tired of puzzle mechanics in other house design games
• Casual gamers who enjoy progression without competitive pressure
• iPad and iPhone users who want a polished, touch-first room decorating app

I think personally from the design games i’ve tried out that this is one of the best. The others I have deleted in the past have cost or been limited to what you can do a day and have a specific theme that you HAVE to follow. You are able to try different options, theres good furniture for coins when you don’t have many diamonds so even without spending money on diamonds you can make a beautiful scene with the cheaper items. I am enjoying this so far!

Nice game, nice content, nice designs, not so nice techniques: a lot of ads; I think I actually spend my time in this game watching more and more of the same adverts for the same apps more than actually designing stuff. You have to pay; it’s actually kind of annoying that you have to pay to continue some stuff, which is a real off-putter. And last but not least, the coins and gems; you would think there’s nothing wrong with the coins and gems, but actually, it’s very annoying because sometimes I’m just designing a room and I click on, say, a type of plant that says I have one use, it says I haven’t got enough coins and I’m like, what the dandelions?!?!?!?! Broski says I have got one use for free but suddenly I don’t? And then it just makes things cost more and more than the price it says because of the fraud plant, so I have to give up that chapter because I’m broke in the game, and then it just next day, wow, the fairy came and I’m not broke from the coins anymore, and when I start a different chapter I see a different plant with the same you’ve got one use sign and when I click on it it doesn’t charge me?!?! Bit weird, please fix this, and what’s all that nonsense about at the end when you click submit you have to pay with gems to submit? Please, take this review and considerate changing a few dodgy bits from this game, and thank you for taking your time to read this.

Thanks for the detailed review! We’re glad you enjoy the designs but understand the frustration with ads, coin and gem balance, and the confusing item use. Your feedback is very helpful, especially about inconsistent inventory and costs — we’ll share it with the team to improve the experience.
Nice, but expensive.

The features are really good and it’s not clunky or tacky like other similar apps. My only downside, and it’s a bit of a shame, is that to play more than one task or two if you’re lucky, you have to spend a lot of real world money. People have been complaining about this for over a year, which makes developer responses feel empty. Want premium? Well, it’s £6.99 a day. That’s an astronomical amount for an app, and quite frankly, massively out of touch and irresponsible. If you want to buy coin packages, they’re also extremely expensive considering you need 6k coins to even submit a task. If you’re lucky, with the “freemium” version, you can use the app for about 10mins a day, or 1-2 events if you’re really lucky. I don’t even mind watching ads, but if I’m watching that many ads that generate revenue, I don’t expect to be short changed to that point. Considering deleting the app because it’s barely worth it. Much like everyone else who’s felt the same way for over a year and it seems like nothing has changed. Either make it a reasonable price, which I’d be happy to pay, or find a way to make “freemium” be a little more user friendly. I’m spending more time watching ads than actually using the app. It’s starting to feel in bad faith from the developer end.

Balancing of coins and long waiting times
pickleMcnee
I was really enjoying this game for a few days as I love interior design. However, after my base amount was running out and waiting hours for the voting to be done it doesn’t seem to be worth it when you don’t get much back coin wise. It’s even harder to get the diamonds. I can’t even complete the next chapter just now because I’ll run out after doing one job and have to wait 2 hours to receive my coins and how much I’ll get depends on others so sometimes I might not get as much and others I might get more but getting to only complete one room and then have to wait 2 hours for my coins makes it just a little less fun. Also I like that you can watch ads to get an extra bit of coin after a game or in the shop but sometimes this glitches out and it doesn’t work and it’s annoying. Overall I did enjoy this game until it became a tedious game of budgets and long waiting times.
