Enjoying this experience, been waiting for something like this to come along. Having a few problems setting it up to broadcast but I will make it eventually. Not being computer literate is main problem for me so don’t be put off by my efforts. Watching videos and getting kick support so probably my 1st stream will be helpful to those who are also a little technically challenged. Getting help building gaming pc as soon as I’ve bought the final component (GPU), so my experiences will improve as I become more competent and confident.

The Kick Mobile App makes for a very frustrating user experience. Watching streams which suddenly go offline or disappear when the streamer is still live, forcing you to have to keep closing and re-opening the app.Chat not displaying sometimes during streams and attempts to message or interact with the streamer still seem to get lost or eaten far too often.As a channel moderator for a streamer, moderating streams is a nightmare with far too many clicks and taps needed to perform simple actions such as message deletion, time-outs and bans.Despite reporting it several months ago via email to support, the ability to gift a streamer 5 subs in the app is still broken and doesn’t work. Which is odd as I’d think this the modest common Gift Sub option. Strange how the higher options all work fine.Also since I started using Kick and being part of the community the Taxes applied when buying subs or their new currency Kicks, depending I guess on your geographic location, a Kick Sub is no longer $4.99 but much closer to $6 these days. This is even worse if buying subs or gifting on mobile platform with the mobile companies Apple & Google adding their own charges and taxes on top too. When are the other payment options going to come to Kick such as PayPal?

The phone app is so bad. If you want to watch on full screen with chat, a portion of the screen will be blocked by the iPhone camera, if on an iPhone of course. The “full screen with chat” also decides to flip its self even if you have rotation lock on your phone, meaning any slight movement and it will rotate to vertical meaning you have to press the unresponsive flip button multiple times till it gets back to where you want. Pop the stream out whilst you do something else on another app and then tab back into the stream later? You will lose the tab with the < but still hear the stream. The only way to fix this is to reopen the stream on the streamer live page which of course once again is unresponsive when you first open a stream. Want to chat whilst full screen? You have to be lucky if the stream image doesn’t disappear and the chat go tiny into the top left of your screen meaning you can’t see what you type, which is annoying on mobile as it likes to autocorrect chat emotes. I get that the experience is best on desktop but this is just poor overall and hasn’t been updated since I downloaded the app over a year ago…

First of all, it's fantastic this platform is giving the power back to the streamers and there is plenty of great content on Kick however, the app needs a lot of work!Half of the time when you message it doesn't go into the chat so you have to type it out again and sometimes a third and a fourth time! Subscribing is also impossible unless you do it through a web browser. With all the money being invested in this platform, I would recommend spending time on the app to make sure it's glitch free or at least as close as because you're going to start losing a lot of people and your streamers will end up getting annoyed too!
