It’s a good game that I’ve played for a while and the developers are always actively involved. I’ve spent a reasonable amount of money on it over time but I won’t spend the amounts required to buy Legendary characters as soon as they appear like some users obviously do. I don’t have a problem with this as those who do should be competing against player of a similar levels but this is my gripe. Time and again I’m matched with players or bots 30-40% above my level and it’s obvious from the start that whatever I do I’m going to struggle. This happens not just for the odd game but sometimes for a day or days, it’s not a rare occurrence. On the other hand, I’ll have games where I’m only matched with players or bots of noticeably lower levels and it’s basically a cakewalk. Either way it takes away the fun of competing against an evenly balanced opponent and playing a game that goes down to the wire. It’s certainly no fun knowing in advance that however well or poor you play the game will be a foregone conclusion. Surly it’s possible to balance the game up better, maybe to within + -10% even if it is by using bots at times? It’s an issue that seems to have got worse over time and as such I’m now not playing it as much as I was.

I have been playing this game since march and I keep at it hoping it will get better but it doesn’t, they have a competition called astral rift that appears every 2 weeks. You need to win 8 or so games to progress the most I’ve achieved is 3 wins having had to use all my emeralds to roll back defeat. As one of the other reviewers mentioned just as your close to completing a task you come up against someone/bot maybe who has 3 ultimate legendary hero cards and they cost about £75 each. I find it hard to believe anyone is spending this amount of money on this game. I watch every advert and unlock every chest and yet my progress is so slow you never get a top card in Any chests which are advertised as possible prizes. Surely after all the effort I put in my account should have naturally progressed much further. I wouldn’t recommend starting playing this game unless you’re willing to spend plenty of money on upgrades and spending hours watching adverts just to try to keep up. These astral cards that the players I’m coming up against have are so overpowered that you have no chance whatsoever of a victory- when I see their starting cards I give up before the game concludes just go through the motions hoping I get one in the chest at the end (more adverts lol) Good luck your going to need it

I have been SO addicted to this game. Never spend money on mobile games but even got the £1.99 merge royal deal, that’s all I’ve spent money on, I’ve got the legendary cards via saving up from tournaments and summons . Been absolutely loving the tournament too. However…..I’ve recently reached league 1. Even though I’ve been playing regularly my win percentage has gone from 70s-80s down to 40s. I can go up against someone with basically the same cards at same level and even whilst all on level 1 I get destroyed, or I’m paired with someone a lot stronger. I seem to lose 10-15 games and win 1 where I go up against someone much lower. The tournament I was quite happy with sometimes being the lowest might, sometimes being the highest might, and sometimes being somewhere in the middle. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, sometimes I’m in the middle somewhere and that’s fine. I don’t know if they’re connected but since hitting league I seem to be consistently the lowest on there, the top being a good 300+ above me . I’ve got the 3 gloves and I keep rinsing all my diamonds hoping I’ll for one decent game where I’m not at the biggest disadvantage at the bottom but apparently not. If I’m occasionally second to last, I seem to get the same monster summon 5/6 summons rather than any variety. I’ve managed to hit fifth a couple of times at best but usually last. It’s like since reaching league the matching system constantly wants to put me on a major losing streak. It’s really sucking the fun out of the game where it’s no longer a win some/lose some.

The game is genuinely fun and has a lot of potential, but the matchmaking really needs improvement. Matches often feel very unbalanced, and it affects the overall experience.The in-game hero/character randomizer is very inconsistent. In one match I can deal around 2.3k damage, and in the very next match I struggle to even reach 800 with no clear reason. This makes progression feel more luck-based than skill-based.It also starts to feel pay-to-win at times, as players who spend money seem to have a clear advantage over others. Despite these issues, the core gameplay is enjoyable and entertaining. With better matchmaking, improved balance, and fairer progression, this game could be much better. I really hope the developers focus on these improvements in future updates.
