I thought I’d give MyTunes a shot as I wanted a simply way of seeing what some of my poetry sounded like as songs. I was pleased with the free one so took out a subscription and have converted 20 poems into songs. Seventeen out of 20 sounded quite good on the first or second attempt (changing genres makes a difference). With the others, it was my poor lyric phrasing but after a few tweaks they sounded good too. Classical and country worked best. Four stars because the servers get swamped at times (notification usually works but not always) and I’d have liked basic folk and blues as well as the genres offered. Okay, I’d love a bigger range of genres but that’s unrealistic so a couple more core ones would be appreciated.

Honestly, I was so disappointed because I paid the subscription trial and then I had to pay to make my own AI voice which I thought was the point of paying the subscription I paid total of £10 to this app and it’s awful. There are better ones out there that are cheaper or even free. But I saw the advert and thought I’ll maybe this would be good and it was just utterly disappointing, I went to take another recording of my AI voice because the first sounded awful in the covers. And barely re-created the words in well known songs with a lot just sounding like clipped vocal sounds of my voice to make a Word that doesn’t even sound like a word in the English language, despite me annunciating clearly on the recording when I checked it before I processed it by listening to it. Then I thought I’ll try and alter my voice and try annunciating even more so that I can get it to work well and it asked me for another £4.99 to record my voice again and I think that’s a rip-off I’m really unhappy with it. I felt like it was really poor the descriptions you give as well to make a song using AI’s own voice generator and it comes out sounding nothing like the prompts you enter as well honestly this has been the worst experience of AI. I’ve had and I won’t be using it again and I’m cancelling the sub honestly if you’re considering this app don’t bother and if you have don’t pay for the AI voice because it’s a waste of money

An app with zero in-app help, guidance or support. You have to guess your way through it, and no contact facility for help. Bizarre! It does do some awesome things, but not being able to edit either the track OR its title isn’t helpful. Plus the AI artwork generated is inappropriate to the song content. All images appear to be female even when the song is male. Additionally in settings when you select a male voice it presents a female vocal track. Also when you record a male voice for 5 minutes so it will produce a cover in your own voice, it also came out as a female range, vocal! I mean, I can sing almost 6 octaves, but even so!! It definitely wasnt me!!Update January 2026 - the latest glitch is that you can play songs from the library index, but if you open the file it won’t play. Also the “help” email address is not real. So no help available in app or from the “support email”. Useless.

When the app works, it’s actually alright. Trouble is, it barely ever does. Songs constantly fail to complete creation & you’re stuck in a loop of retrying over & over & over sometimes for a week. Sometimes you just can’t download/save a song to your device and it keeps saving a previous one in your library instead. There was a time when there was a bug that every generated song just said “this is an ai track” over and over with no music. Just switched to a new phone and lost all my library of songs even though they’re meant to carry over. Customer service is terrible - I’ve never once successfully gotten hold of a person to help with any of these issues - every email/contact just goes ignored. So yeah, it’s okay but good luck and don’t even bother trying to get support/help.
