I was excited to subscribe to DramaShorts, paying £11 for premium and an unexpected additional £11 for VIP access. However, I found most episodes locked, contrary to my expectations. After three attempts to contact customer support for clarification and a refund, I received no response. The subscription model feels misleading, as it limits access despite the high fees. Overall, my experience has been disappointing, and I will not be renewing my subscription.

I saw a few shorts going through my instagram account and decided to purchase a subscription. After a few episodes, it wanted me to purchase some coins. I didn’t’ really understand why, as I had already purchased a membership and this is when I discovered that you have to pay out of the few coins they give you ( I purchased a weekly subscription to start with) when you first subscribe. It’s not explained anywhere that this works like this, and after having paid for 3 different subscriptions, as you can imagine, I’m feeling quite angry and let down. I’m going to try and get a refund. This app could be called a SCAM in my opinion!!!

Lacking transparency on pricing

The app is nice and works well but there’s no upfront information on the cost of shows, instead the app has you buy coins to watch the shows and you don’t know the cost of the show or the episode so you end up buying coins that randomly run out. So a few one minute episodes end up costing you more than 6m subscription to Netflix. For that reason I would not recommend this app. To the developers, introduce clear pricing information - how much does an episode cost? How much does the entire show cost? Otherwise you just seem like a gambling company with a slot machine.
