Could be great, not quite there yet.

Has potential, and is the only tool of its kind I could find, but it has some issues. No progress bar, no scroll bars (Mac), no way to know what you are deleting after compression, iPad first interface. I have over 7,000 videos, and they appear in a very long list. Currently I think 60 videos have converted, but I only know that because it’s offering to delete 60 videos. I have hit delete, but it seems to be doing nothing. I have also hit Stop, but there is no indication as to whether it has. Activity monitor says it has, so I guess it has, but it’s all a bit unclear. I had success with the ‘free trial’ compressing 2 or 3 videos, and it did a good job, but only now after paying 20 odd quid and getting into the weeds do these issues become clear.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. Let me clarify a few points, as some of these come from misunderstandings of how the app works.Progress visibility: Each video displays its own encoding progress, and there's a collapsible bottom panel showing details about the video currently being processed.Scrolling on macOS: The list doesn't show a scrollbar by design. With very large libraries, a scrollbar provides no meaningful navigation. You're not expected to manually scroll thousands of items—sorting options help you find what you need.Knowing what you're deleting: Nothing is deleted automatically. After compression, each video enters a review state. The UI changes clearly—the button switches from "Compress" to "Delete Original" with a different icon, color, and size—so you can review the result before deciding.Stop behavior: Pressing Stop immediately returns all queued and processing videos to idle, indicated by every item switching back to the Compress button.Large libraries: Seeing "60 videos ready to delete" simply means 60 compressions finished successfully and are awaiting your action.Since your review, version 7 has been released with a completely redesigned interface, much clearer navigation, album-based filtering to make large libraries easier to manage, and a new photo compressor alongside video compression. You can also compare before/after results directly in the details page.I think you'll find v7 addresses many of your concerns. Great app, too expensive

For the ease of use (not needing to upload to Mac and use HandBrake or FFmpeg) it cannot be beaten. The cost, however, is truly debilitating.I understand it though as most, myself included, will use it once and then change their Camera settings. It’s a real sting and I had to sit on the app for a few weeks before pulling the trigger—a last resort.The UX truly is great… For the right price. Halving it across the board would make this app an iPhone must-have.

You basically get a free video every day, so anyone can keep using it without paying if they don't need it for heavy use.Since your review we've also launched version 7 with a completely redesigned interface, more intuitive navigation, and a new photo compressor alongside video compression.
