This is such a nice idea but a terrible app. You answer questions when you sign up, one being how long do you want the stories to be, I said 20-30 minutes which was one of the options. But there’s no option once you’ve handed over your money to filter stories by length, no indication how long any of them are unless you click and play, and every one I’ve briefly clicked has been between 7 and 11 minutes. Awful waste of money, really disappointing.

I downloaded the app and had a 7 day free trial however I cancelled it after 2 days as it wasn’t worth it. I literally went into every option and cancelled the trial and and subscription and the 7 days finished today and they tried to take almost £30 out of my account this morning. I went into the app to look and there is a button that gives the option to renew subscription so it’s obviously not active so WHY was money tried to be take from my account ??? I complained to the developers and they told me that I had committed to a month subscription and a 6 month subscription and a 3 day trial and a 7 day trial all by one click of a button apparently. Firstly why would anyone buy 2 subscriptions and a 3 day trial whilst on a 7 day free trial? And secondly why would an app allow all 3 of these subscriptions to be purchased whilst free trials and other subscriptions were apparently active? I am not some clueless basic phone user. I work in I.T so I know how to use my iPhone and how to purchase apps and trials and this app is an absolute SCAM AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

I tried this a few months ago and found it uninteresting and not remotely related to bedtime and calmness. Then my experience went from bad to worse. I cancelled the free subscription through Apple and they still continued to charge me. Two months later they take another payment and although they can see I never used the app, they refused to refund the subscription. They make it deliberately difficult to cancel. There is nothing Buddhist about this app company in the slightest. Your meek offer to find a resolution is purely for the benefit of responding to this review. Lip service at its best. You knew that I never used it and yet you say it’s non refundable. Total scam. Just avoid.

Stopped at OnBoarding

I gave this two stars purely based on on-boarding. I didn’t go further than that because it makes you pay before you have experienced anything inside the app. There is no free trial, there is no free content so the only way to find out if this app is for you is to fork out £40 for the year or £7 for a month. I will never know, but I hope one of the stories in this app is the Buddhist teaching to live in poverty…a lesson the creators of this app could learn something from as the only reason to not offer a trial is greed. I wouldn’t buy trousers without trying them on…I’m not paying for a subscription without seeing what’s involved in the app and the content you are asking me to purchase.
