Version 1.8 is all about making daily logging faster and more reliable. • Log meals with your voice. Say "Hey Siri, log a meal in Pet AI" or add it to the Shortcuts app. • New Pet Essentials shop. Find food, treats, supplements, grooming, nail care, toys, and more under Settings > Shop. • Find the food you scanned. Product results and recommended supplements now have a "Find on Amazon" link. • Fixed a crash that could happen on the meal log screen. • Smoother, more reliable meal logging and reminders. Pet AI is still free to start with no account or credit card, and your data stays private in your own iCloud. We read every review, so keep the feedback coming!

Thanks for all your feedback — version 1.7 is a big one. • Pet AI is now FREE to start. Track a pet, log meals, and get feeding reminders at no cost — no account, no credit card. Premium (unlimited pets, the AI health assistant, advanced trends, and vet PDF reports) is now completely optional, with a 7-day free trial. • Log a meal in one tap. Feeding reminders now have a "Log Meal" button right on the notification — no need to open the app. • A friendlier first launch that walks you through getting started in three quick steps. • Fully removed all third-party tracking. No ad networks, no attribution SDKs — your data stays private in your own iCloud. • Fixed a bug that could show a blank screen when logging a meal, plus stability and design improvements throughout. We read every review — keep it coming.

Thanks for all the feedback — this update is focused on fixing what you told us was broken. • Fixed the crash some of you hit right on launch. • Barcode scanning is more reliable, and scanned foods now show nutrition specific to that product instead of a generic estimate. • Food search returns accurate, brand-specific calories and macros — no more identical numbers for every food. • Every food now shows where its data came from (Verified, Estimated, or AI Estimated) so you know how much to trust it. • Meal templates can now be shared across all your pets, or copied to a specific pet. • Removed all third-party analytics and tracking. The app no longer tracks you. • Speed and stability improvements throughout. Keep the feedback coming — we're reading every review.

Various bug fixes

Big update focused on accuracy and what you've been asking for: Barcode scanner overhaul. New permission flow with a clear "Open Settings" path if camera access is denied, auto-detection so you don't have to tap on the code, and a 25-second timeout so the spinner never hangs forever. Way more accurate food results. Added hundreds of new pet food UPCs (Purina, Hill's, Blue Buffalo, Iams, Pedigree and more) and a smarter AI estimator that no longer falls back to identical generic values for every product. Every result now shows a "Verified", "Estimated", or "AI Estimated" badge so you know what you're looking at. Identify any bag by photo. When a barcode isn't recognized, snap photos of the front and the Guaranteed Analysis label — AI reads the nutrition values directly from the bag. You can also re-scan the label from any AI-estimated result to lock in exact values. Shared meal templates across pets. Toggle any template "Shared" to use it across all your animals, or duplicate one onto a specific pet. New Library section in the Templates view. Verified scans now sync across your devices. Once you confirm a barcode result on your iPhone, your iPad gets it instantly via iCloud — and future scans of that UPC hit immediately with no network call. Crowdsourced food database (opt-in). Help us improve the database by sharing verified scans anonymously, so other users see fewer "Unknown Product" results. Toggle in Settings → Food Database.
