Parchment is a private daily journal that brings your writing, plans, calendar, and reminders together in one quiet place. It uses Apple's Reminders and the system calendar to bring your task and events together.
Open today and start writing immediately. Your calendar events and due or overdue reminders can appear above your journal entry, giving you the context of the day without switching apps. Capture notes, reflect on what happened, plan what comes next, or use Parchment as a simple daybook for work and life.
On iPad, Parchment also supports handwriting and drawing with Apple Pencil, so typed notes and handwritten thoughts can live together on the same day.
Parchment is built for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with iCloud sync available through your private iCloud account. There is no Parchment account to create, no advertising, and no third-party analytics SDKs.
Features include:
- Daily journal entries organized by date
- Calendar events shown alongside your writing
- Due and overdue reminders in your daily view
- Reminder completion from inside the app
- Apple Pencil handwriting and drawing on iPad
- iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac
- Widgets for a quick look at your agenda
- Shortcuts, Siri, and App Intents support
- Spotlight indexing for finding past entries
- Export tools for keeping a copy of your writing
- Custom appearance, fonts, and themes
Parchment is for people who want a journal that understands the shape of their day. It gives you one place to write what happened, see what is coming up, and keep a private record over time.
This is a beautiful app with a really nice UI that presents your Apple Reminders & Calendar in one easy view. Add in the daily notes section where you can add snippets during the day and you have a perfect place for all your tasks and events. Better still the notes section is searchable and exportable. This is a really good app at a very low price and is perfect for those of us who use the Apple eco structure. Go watch the excellent video before you buy if you’re in any doubt, otherwise just buy it, you won’t regret it.
Excellent Reminder, Calendar & Note App

This brings the Reminders, and Calendar together while adding a note section too all in one place. Really handy app that gives you a view of your day and what needs to be done. The notes post is very useful to jot down points during the day. I export these into journal so that they're searchable if I want to refer back at any point. I've asked the developer if he can make them searchable but it maybe an Apple restriction. Still it's a great app and a very good price across all devices.
What I was looking for
CodeMacLife
Just like Christopher, I was something for something to quickly add notes, events and tasks. I also wanted a way to quickly view my Apple Calendar and Reminders. Parchment, with the large widget, makes me more mindful of what I have on for the day. I’m using the daily note to reflect on my events and tasks as I am always overthinking things. So far, the app has helped me stay focused. I also enjoy using the natural language input.
Love it, using it daily

Hi Chris, thanks for this wonderful app, for me you’ve got balance right of being extremely helpful but also not overwhelming to use.If possible in the future would you consider an option to move the ‘add task button’ to the left hand side?I’m left handed and it’s abit awkward to reach across the screen to hit.Just a thought! Thanks
