I saw this app advertised on Facebook and thought it sounded great. I am very impressed so far. At £4.99 this is an absolute bargain, a one off payment with no subscription fees. A fantastic app which means you can quickly look up the history of your surroundings in a couple of clicks, no more google searches. The audio facility to listen to the information as well as reading it is a great option. This app is a simple but very effective idea which has identified a gap in the market where those who are into local history are concerned. I wish the developers huge success with this because it deserves it.

Such a great app which provides a fantastic insight into times gone by. I’ve loved using the search function to look up areas of significance to me but also just the local areas that I travel through. The filters are great too for enabling you to search via interests. Couldn’t recommend highly enough, especially for history lovers!

Really enjoying this app came upon it due to facebook showing it , really enjoyable to find history of so many enjoyable places that I’ve visited and some that I haven’t yet . Told me history of some places that I’ve lived in and wasn’t aware of. Great to find so much information on areas all over the world. Nice one developers .
No subscription history

I hate how almost every app is a subscription these days. Seeing this app with no subscription and myself with a love of history it was a no brainer. It seems to pull all of its data from Wikipedia, but seeing it pictorially on a map, cracking idea. So let’s support the developer! Thanks for no subscription!

Translations are here! With this release, LocoPast makes it even easier to explore history around the world. Historic stories and events written in other languages now include a 'Translate' button at the top of each story, so you can discover local history wherever you travel.
