Pay your builder one stage at a time. Your tradesperson sends photos or a video when a stage is done, and you release the money once you've checked the work. PayTrader lets homeowners and tradespeople agree a job, split it into stages and pay for it one stage at a time. FOR HOMEOWNERS • Agree the job and a price for each stage before any work starts. • Pay for a stage before it begins, by bank transfer or card. The money is held by our regulated payment provider, not by the tradesperson or PayTrader, until the stage is released. • When a stage is done, your tradesperson sends photos or a video. Check the work, then release the payment. • Something not right? Raise an issue in the app. Payment for that stage is paused while it's sorted out. FOR TRADESPEOPLE • Send a quote, or claim a job a homeowner has shared with you. • See that a stage is paid for before you start it. • Send photos when a stage is done and get paid as each one is approved. • Keep the messages, photos and payments for every job in one place. BUILT FOR HOME JOBS Use it for kitchens, bathrooms, rewires, extensions and repairs, or any job that's easier to pay for in stages. HOW THE MONEY MOVES PayTrader never holds your money. Our regulated payment provider holds it, and identity checks for tradespeople happen on its secure pages. Your card and bank details are handled by our payment provider and never stored by PayTrader. There's a small fee on each payment. You see exactly what you'll pay before you confirm.
