Radio calls, your flying, and your flight on the lock screen. Radio calls • The calls for your route in order, from CAP 413 (UK CAA), with frequencies from the UK AIP • In flight, the next call appears at the right moment with your position and level filled in, plus what they'll say and what to read back • A MAYDAY / PAN and read-back card, and practise aloud Your flight on the lock screen • Next waypoint, ETA, speed, altitude, fuel and the next frequency on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island • "Can I fly today?" and "Next planned flight" widgets for your home and lock screen Your flying • Every flight on one map, hours by month, records, airfields visited, and a year-in-review card to share Planning • A ready-to-fly gauge at the top of the Brief • An airspace ribbon above the profile: every zone in order, with its frequency and a one-tap Avoid • Runway and wind diagram on every airfield card, with headwind and crosswind for each runway • A new kneeboard PLOG in A5 or A4, with the radio calls on it • Frequencies and runway numbers now follow the UK AIP

New weather map, the same as on the web: • Map › Weather: wind, cloud, rain radar then forecast, showers and storms, freezing level, temperature, pressure and visibility, at the surface, 2,000, 5,000 or 10,000 ft • A 48-hour timeline with play, a Key, and "Depart at" to move your departure to the time you're looking at • Weather strength from subtle to vivid, and Weather focus to dim the chart • Tap the map and "What's here" now gives a quick weather brief for that spot, with a GO / NO-GO against your minima In flight: • The next frequency to call now includes airfields you turn at, not just your destination • Nearest airfields lists proper aerodromes first, with private strips clearly grouped below • Starting a flight closes any replay you had open Smarter co-pilot timing: "this evening" means tonight, and an evening day out is planned for tomorrow.

Polish and fixes: • No more alert sounds while you're planning — alerts only sound in flight • Night mode no longer flips between dark and light as you move the map • Routes fit neatly on screen, clear of banners and buttons • Fewer, clearer terrain warnings along a route • Map view and Full plan now switch the plan as you'd expect • Tidier layout on smaller iPhones

Fixes a crash on launch for pilots with a saved route. Sorry for the trouble!

Plan straight on the map: • Each leg shows its heading, time, wind, fuel and level right on the route • Airspace, NOTAMs, low cloud and high ground are pinned where they happen on your route, with one-tap fixes: climb, descend, route around or find a clearer time • Each leg holds its own level — tap a leg to change it; climbs and descents happen at the waypoints • Press and hold the line to add a turn, with time and fuel updating as you drag • New departure-time slider, with a ghost aircraft flying your route • Ask the co-pilot: describe your flight and compare route options on the map • Many smaller fixes and improvements

A new look in flight: • A big, clear aircraft that glides smoothly across the map • A predictor line shows where you'll be in 1, 2 and 5 minutes • Your current leg is highlighted, with your flown track as a trail behind you • More map ahead: your aircraft sits low on the screen and the compass is tucked into the corner • Fold the plan and profile away into slim tabs for a full-screen map — they fold automatically once you're airborne • Bigger, easier-to-read flight data on iPad • Clearer weather updates and many smaller fixes

Much better weather: • Weather along your route: see forecast cloud, freezing level and rain on the route profile, at the time you'll be there • Forecasts for airfields with no METAR or TAF, from the Met Office's 2 km UK model • The brief now checks each field at your arrival time, with a departure slider and the best weather window • Watch the weather for a saved flight and get a notification if it changes • Spoken weather updates for your destination and alternates in flight • Faster, more reliable map loading • Smoother map following in flight • Tidier drawing tools and many smaller fixes

Tested on a real iPhone in simulated flights: • Much cooler and lighter on battery in flight — the phone no longer heats up on long flights • Airspace alerts work whatever your map zoom or layers, and offline too • ADS-B receivers (SkyEcho, PilotAware and others) stay connected instead of dropping out • Opening the app without signal no longer signs you out • Alert tones play even with the silent switch on • No false terrain warnings near airfields on take-off • Shows GPS accuracy, and warns if precise location is off • Notifications are only requested when you follow someone or open Messages • Clearer spoken callouts and many smaller fixes

Safer, more reliable flying: • Weather go/no-go now checks cloud base, gusts and thunderstorms, and reads METARs and TAFs more accurately • Airspace overhead your departure or destination (like a TMA) is now counted correctly • Flights finished without signal are saved and upload when you're back online • GPS hiccups no longer stop the in-flight display; you'll see "GPS lost" until it recovers • Quieter take-off and approach — no false terrain or own-airfield alerts • Safe altitudes are more accurate on long legs, and impossible headwinds are flagged • Location starts properly on your first flight; instruments only appear when you're flying • Message attachments are encrypted, notifications hide message text by default, and live positions expire • Undo and redo for every route change, plus many smaller fixes

Simpler and quicker: • Start a flight with one tap, and finish it with one tap • While you fly, planning controls get out of the way and the top bar shows what's left to go • Tap Checks to open the brief — airspace, NOTAMs, weather, fuel, alternate and frequencies in one place • Quicker first launch, and returning guests go straight to the map • One Share button, tidier aircraft settings and menus • Airfield info straight from search results • Your route is kept after a flight, ready for the way home • The Learn course is now in the More menu

A calmer, friendlier SkyRove: • Cleaner map — small strips and obstacles appear as you zoom in, and strips show their names • Shorter plan panel with one "Checks" summary for airspace, NOTAMs, daylight and fuel • Undo for every route change • Spoken alerts in flight — airspace ahead, traffic, terrain and waypoint callouts (switch off in Settings) • Quick first-run setup: home airfield, aircraft and units (change your home airfield any time in Settings) • Favourite and recent airfields at the top of search • Night mode, automatically after sunset • "Ready to fly?" summary at the top of the brief • Supports larger text sizes, with clearer contrast • Airfield cards now show the decoded TAF, and your pilot notes are private to you • Divert gives a magnetic bearing and frames you and the field; Nearest lists real aerodromes first • Auto-route now avoids ATZs and MATZs; IGC imports keep their dates • Pilots now appear by their real name in the community — add yours when prompted • Your logbook works without an account, and syncs when you sign in • Security and privacy improvements throughout

A cleaner, less cluttered map: • Flight instruments (compass, profile strip, flight data, alerts) now only appear when you're actually flying — not just because GPS is on • Alerts and banners stack neatly instead of overlapping, and stay clear of the controls on smaller iPhones • Next waypoint and its frequency now live in the flight data panel • Compass heading follows your GPS track in flight • Fixed top-of-climb / top-of-descent when waypoints have their own altitudes • Tidier traffic card, diversion banner and plan buttons

A big update that brings SkyRove much closer to a full EFB: • iPad support — plan in a sidebar beside the map • Planned departure time: winds, TAF, NOTAMs and daylight checked for when you'll actually fly • Climb & descent (TOC/TOD) on the profile, nav log and fuel • Alternate + full fuel plan, frequencies in route order • En-route NOTAM check (RA(T), displays, drones, danger areas) • Full nav log as a PDF, ICAO flight plan text and a GAR helper • In flight: continuous airspace alerts with 3-minute look-ahead, obstacle alerts, Nearest + Divert (keeps your plan), breadcrumb trail • Keeps logging with the phone locked; track survives an app restart • ADS-B/GPS receivers (GDL90: SkyEcho, Stratux) • Offline packs now include terrain and aviation data • Logbook details, 90-day currency, licence/medical reminders, CSV export • Share routes by link, import GPX routes

A completely reworked in-flight view — SkyRove now flies like a real EFB. • Terrain & airspace profile along the bottom, with a live marker showing exactly where you are against the ground ahead and the airspace stacked above and below you • HSI compass rose with your track and a magenta course needle • At-a-glance figures: groundspeed, distance and ETA to the next waypoint, height and wind • A "Next waypoint" banner with distance and bearing • The flight plan now shrinks to a summary bar once you're airborne, so the moving map gets the screen Also: tap any aircraft to see its recent path, coloured by altitude, and the map tools are tidied into simple Map / Plan / Fly / More menus.

• The map tools are now tidied into simple menus — Map, Plan, Fly and More — so everything's easier to find. • Tap any aircraft to see its recent path on the map, coloured by altitude. • Map Annotations: a new list lets you pick out, rename or delete any shape you've drawn, and Clear all in one tap. • Stability and polish.

Map Annotations 2.0 — draw right on the moving map. • Sketch practice-area and noise-abatement boundaries • Highlight flight corridors • Drop distance rings around any airport or fix • Give each annotation its own colour and a solid or dashed style • Tap any annotation to re-style, relabel, resize or delete it Your annotations sync across your iPhone and the SkyRove web app. Also in this release: the map compass no longer overlaps the search bar, and the right-hand control rail scrolls neatly on smaller iPhones.

A big update for VFR pilots: • AI pre-flight briefing — a plain-English go/no-go from your route's weather, NOTAMs, airspace and daylight. • One-screen go/no-go weather — per-airfield flight category, wind, crosswind vs your personal minima, and daylight margin. • Auto-route around airspace — one tap plans a route around controlled and danger areas at your cruise altitude. • Takeoff & landing performance — factor your POH figures for the day's conditions and check required vs runway available. • Fly with friends — share your live position and see mates who follow you move on the map. • Offline maps — download your route corridor so the moving map keeps working with no signal. • Airfield info from pilots — PPR, landing fees, fuel and cafe details, shared and editable on every airfield. • Flight stats — your max altitude and top groundspeed when a flight completes. As always: a supplemental planning aid, not for sole-means navigation. Send feedback right from the map.

New in this update • Aircraft checklists — Cessna 152/172, Piper PA-28 and a generic single, as tap-through challenge/response lists with progress. Duplicate any into your own editable copy or build one from scratch. • In-flight scratchpad — a quick notepad for clearances, ATIS, squawk and frequencies. Type it, or write it by hand with your finger or Apple Pencil. • Airspace now covers the USA and Europe, alongside the UK. • Fixes and polish.

New in this update • Fly from a flight simulator — connect MSFS or X-Plane and SkyRove becomes a free moving-map EFB, showing your aircraft live. Set it up at skyrove.co.uk/simbridge. • "What's here?" — long-press anywhere on the map for the airspace above that point (with heights), the coordinates and ground elevation. • Traffic now points the way it's actually flying. • Fixes and polish.

Reliability • SkyRove can now prompt you when an update is available, so you're never stuck on an out-of-date version. • Behind-the-scenes fixes and polish.

Route editing • Drag a waypoint and it renames itself from wherever you drop it • Drag the route line to drop in a new via • Set an altitude per leg instead of one cruise for the whole trip On the map • Visual reporting points (VRPs) • Sightseeing mode — search castles, stadiums, lighthouses and landmarks, then tap to add them to your route Community • Find and import other pilots' routes by departure and arrival Also: winds aloft are now sampled per leg, aerodrome diagrams draw parallel runways properly, and the airspace check only warns about airspace you actually fly through.
