Beavo is the pregnancy app for the person holding her hand.
Written from NHS guidance, for fathers and birth partners in the UK. It works offline, because the moment you need it most may be a hospital car park at 2 AM.
KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING
Clear, visual guides on pregnancy, labour, pain relief, caesarean birth, recovery, feeding, safer sleep and wellbeing after birth. Written in plain language, with the NHS page linked for the full detail.
KNOW WHAT TO DO
Short quizzes, branching decision scenarios and a 100-question drill. Practise the call to the maternity unit before you have to make it, and learn when something is worth ringing about tonight rather than in the morning.
THE WEEK, AND WHAT IT MEANS
Week-by-week growth, and the NHS appointment that is coming up with what actually happens at it. The 20-week scan is the anomaly scan. Nobody tells the partner that.
TOOLS FOR THE REAL DAY
A contraction timer that writes the sentences you read down the phone. A hospital bag list with a section for you, which most checklists forget. Appointments that sync to your own calendar. A breathing rhythm for the waiting.
THE FIRST WEEKS
Track sleep, feeds and nappies with no targets and nothing that can be failed. Counted against NHS guidance for your baby's age, and only a completed day is measured. There are no feeding reminders — the NHS asks you to feed when the baby asks, not when an app does.
BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT
If you lose your baby, Beavo does not carry on counting. One switch takes the whole app quiet, down to the home-screen icon, and nothing you have saved is deleted. A private section offers established UK bereavement charities, guidance written for the partner rather than about him, and a message you can send to family without having to write it. This part is free for everyone and always will be.
WHAT IS FREE
Every guide, the contraction timer, the hospital bag, your calendar, the useful numbers and all of the bereavement support. Beavo Plus adds the full week-by-week timeline, more guides, the drill and the branching scenarios.
Beavo is independent and is not endorsed by the NHS.
IMPORTANT
Beavo provides general education and planning support. It does not diagnose conditions and is not a substitute for advice from a midwife, maternity unit, GP or emergency service. If anything about the pregnancy concerns you, contact your maternity unit or NHS 111, and use the emergency services in an emergency.

I absolutely love this app! It has been so helpful for both me and my husband throughout my pregnancy, helping us understand each stage and what to expect. One of my favourite features is being able to contact my midwife directly if I have any concerns, and the hospital bag guide is really useful. The quizzes are also a fun way for my husband to learn more about pregnancy. Overall, a brilliant app for expecting parents!✨
Developer Response
Thank you so much for this, Susan it means a lot to hear! Beavo was built specifically to bring dads into the pregnancy journey alongside their partners, so it’s brilliant to hear the quizzes are helping your husband learn about your symptoms and how baby’s growing. Quick access to your midwife and NHS 111 was a priority for us too glad it’s been useful when you needed it. Wishing you a smooth rest of your pregnancy! 🦫

Very helpful, my husband has been able to follow along my pregnancy with me. Honestly has been a life saver for us 🙏🏽
Developer Response
Thank you, Maria this means the world to us. Beavo was built exactly for this: making sure both of you can go through the pregnancy together, not just one of you tracking it alone. Wishing you both a smooth journey ahead. 🙏
Excellent app
Berkan111
Very easy to use and good for first fathers!
Developer Response
Thanks, Berkan! Really glad it’s landing well for first-time dads that’s exactly who we built Beavo for. Appreciate you taking the time to review. 🦫
SHARE THE BABY LOG WITH YOUR PARTNER
• Each of you signs in, one sends a single-use invite, and feeds, sleep and nappies appear on both phones with a name on every entry. Start a sleep on one phone and stop it on the other.
• Works offline and catches up when you reconnect. Your learning, appointments and private notes stay yours.
• Clearer summaries for today, the last 24 hours and the past seven days, including longest stretch and day and night totals. Missed one? Add it later.
QUIZZES THAT ACTUALLY TEACH
• Every quiz is ten questions, as promised, mixing myth or fact, real decisions, put-it-in-order and choose-every-one-that-applies.
• Swipe a card left for myth or right for fact, or just tap.
• At the end you see every question you missed, with the right answer and why, and can retry just those until they stick.
• Replays start with what you got wrong last time, and each quiz shows your best score.
PARTNER LAB
• Six short, playable real-life moments in Train. Pick what you would say, see why it lands or not, and take one small thing into the day. Collect a skill stamp for each.
HOSPITAL MODE
• Save your maternity unit, the entrance and your arrival notes once. On the day, one calm screen has the bag, the call to your unit and directions in Apple Maps. Free, and your notes stay on your phone.
GUIDES YOU CAN FINISH
• Illustrated guides in short chapters that remember where you stopped, with checklists you can tick off.
• The guides are now the first thing you see on Learn.
GROWTH, REDESIGNED
• This week first, with close-up and size-comparison views and a quick way back to the current week.
• After the birth, a newborn overview with shortcuts to feeds and sleep.
CALENDAR
• A month view with your dates marked, and the editor right under the day you pick. Saving works without Apple Calendar access, and your dates are backed up to your account.
EASIER TO GET AROUND
• A new Menu reaches everything from any screen, including urgent help.
• Search across guides, tools and practice.
• Pin up to three favourite tools, and tap your greeting on Home to open your profile.
SMALLER THINGS
• Sign-in no longer gets stuck, and if it fails you are told why.
• Each account keeps its own progress on a shared phone.
• Restore and Manage plan for Beavo Plus work more reliably.
• The mood check-in asks once a day, not after every quiz.
• Urgent help puts Call 999 first. Better contrast in dark mode, and many small fixes.
