Pick a photo, video, PDF, audio file, GIF or Live Photo, choose what you want out of it, and Recast does the rest. Every conversion happens on your device. There is no account, no upload, and no waiting on someone else's server. NAME YOUR FILE SIZE Most converters give you a quality slider and leave you guessing. Recast lets you say what the file needs to weigh, then works backwards to get there. Under 10 MB for email, under 25 MB, or a number you pick yourself. WHEN SMALLER ISN'T SMALL ENOUGH Sometimes a target simply cannot be reached at full resolution. Recast tells you plainly instead of silently missing, and offers to shrink the video itself to get closer. WHAT IT HANDLES Photos: JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, BMP, and into PDF PDFs: to JPEG or PNG, page by page, or compressed as PDF Video: MP4, MOV, GIF, or pull the audio out as M4A Live Photos: straight to GIF, MP4 or MOV Audio: compress to M4A at a size you choose HONEST ABOUT LIMITS GIFs get very large very quickly, so Recast caps them and tells you before you tap, not after.
