Expenses can repeat. For costs that come round at the same amount, like livery or insurance, switch on Repeats when you add an expense and choose every so many weeks or months. Each one is added to Spending on its date, never ahead of time, and the Spending tab lists your repeats with the date of the next one. A new price counts from the next one, and stopping a repeat keeps everything already added. VoiceOver now reads Weeks and Months by name when you choose how often something comes round.

Spending has a tab of its own. As well as what a farrier, dentist or vet visit cost, you can add hay, bedding, livery, arena hire or anything you name yourself — from the Spending tab, or from the day in the diary. Add how many you used and the tab shows roughly how many a week and what they came to this month; once something has a price, typing how many fills in the cost. What you spend stays off anything you share. Costs are shown in a currency you choose, or the one your phone uses if you have not picked one. The picture you share from the diary can carry a photo from that day, and you choose which one. The plan tells you when something you booked is not in the week, says what adding it would replace, and only changes the week when you tap. Backups take far less room: each photo is kept once, the last seven days plus four earlier months are kept, and nothing is written on a day when nothing changed. Care visits can now carry what they cost, and the Care page adds them up — this month, the last twelve months, or all of it. Only visits that actually happened are counted, so booking one in and then recording it does not count the money twice. Setting up asks what is already true about your horse before anything is logged, and switches on what those things are usually recorded with, telling you which ones it turned on. Ticking one months later does the same. Flu and tetanus are now separate vaccinations on their own clocks, twelve months and twenty-four. The batch number is no longer asked for — the passport already holds it. Worming has moved from the daily log to the care register, where the product used is asked for. Everything already recorded is still there. A diary day can take a photo alongside the note, and there are now two diary reminders — a morning one and an evening one, each with its own time and its own switch. One care visit can be recorded across several horses at once, and each one gets its own row in its own register. Your backups now show up in the Files app under HorseDex. Backups already made are still read from where they were, so nothing is lost. Also fixed: a cost typed as 5,000 was being read as five pounds; a busy day ran off the bottom of the shareable week picture, which now also carries the diary card's colours; and when two devices had both changed the same record, the newer change now wins.

A half-finished entry now survives an interruption. Lock the phone or take a call part-way through logging the day and the form comes back as you left it. Clearing the activity no longer stops an entry saving. A tick left behind by the activity you cleared was quietly failing the save. When a save does fail, the app now says what went wrong instead of reporting success.
