Fixes for search and keyboard focus: • With Type to Search off, the search bar now rests as a compact button. Click it or press Shift-Option-S to expand it — and it no longer takes the keyboard when the shelf opens. • With Type to Search on, pressing Escape dismisses the results but keeps the search bar focused, ready for the next search.

What's new in 1.4 and 1.4.1: Gramola works from the keyboard now, too. Browse the shelf, open an album, play, pin and search without reaching for the mouse. Hold Option and press a letter to jump straight to it. Settings lists every shortcut. Gramola also follows your accessibility settings — Reduce Motion, Reduce Transparency, Increase Contrast and visible outlines — and the shelf sorts the way the Music app does, including Japanese, Chinese and Korean. You can now set how long the shelf waits before closing when the pointer moves away. Gramola 1.3 -Stations- Apple Music radio has its own shelf, alongside your albums. -Search goes further- It now reaches playlists as well as albums and songs, and on Apple Music stations and artists too. Results show what they are at a glance. -Look before you play- Open a search result to see what's on it without leaving the panel: press Option-Return, or click the eye. Arrow keys walk the tracklist, Esc goes back. -Artists- On Apple Music, open an artist to find everything they've released, what you already own and what you don't, with albums and EPs & singles kept apart. Left and right switch between them. -Add to your library- Save an album, playlist or song you found in the catalog, straight from the results. Apple Music only. -Recently Played remembers more- Playlists, single songs, stations and things played from the catalog, not just albums. A playlist is credited as the playlist, rather than as whichever album a track happened to come from. Right-click its icon to clear it. -Playlists you didn't make- Apple Music playlists you've added, and Spotify playlists you follow or collaborate on. -Liked Songs- Spotify's own list, on a shelf of its own. Which shelves are switched on is now remembered per service, so Apple Music and Spotify can be arranged differently. -Pin anything- Right-click a cover to pin it, songs included. -Explicit- An E marks explicit albums, playlists and tracks in catalog results. -Spotify- Release years in search, EPs told apart from albums, and a catalog album's tracklist opens the same way Apple Music's does. -Also- The queue drawer follows catalog albums and playlists. Mouse wheel speed is adjustable in Settings. A live station shows itself while the host is talking. Scrolling large libraries, opening the dock, and the songs shelf at launch are all considerably faster.

Queue See what's coming up. A drawer under the miniplayer lists the rest of what's playing, with covers — click any song to jump straight to it. Open it once and it stays open, including next time you launch Gramola. Songs shelf A new shelf with every song in your library, A to Z. Click one and it plays. By default it plays just that song; there's a setting to carry on into the rest of its album. Shelves remember where you were Switch to another shelf and come back, or quit and reopen — each shelf returns to the cover you left it on. Looping is now your choice Shelves stop at their first and last item, with a bounce at the ends. Turn looping back on for any shelf in Settings. Square covers A new Appearance option keeps album art's corners instead of rounding them. Artists stay circular. Also in this release - Playing something from Recently Played takes you to it at the front of the shelf. - The miniplayer reads the same way round whichever edge Gramola lives on. - New Apple Music playlists appear as soon as you open Gramola, rather than on the next sync.
