Pelvic floor exercises are the first thing you are asked to do after prostate surgery, and the easiest thing in the world to forget. Anchor is a quiet, free app that times the programme, reminds you, and keeps the record — so the work actually gets done.
Built for men living with prostate problems: after a radical prostatectomy, after radiotherapy, with an enlarged prostate, or with the dribble that will not stop.
BUILT AROUND WHERE YOU ARE
Tell Anchor whether your surgery is still ahead of you, your catheter is still in, it has just come out, or you are months down the line. You get a sensible starting programme and the right advice for that point — including holding the timed programme while a catheter is in place, because UK guidance is to start active exercises once it has been removed.
A GUIDED SET, DISCREETLY
A calm ring counts you through long squeezes and quick squeezes. Vibration-only cues by default, so nothing announces itself on a train. Spoken cues if you would rather do it with the phone in your pocket. Stop early and the repetitions you did still count — squeezing to fatigue and stopping is correct technique, not failure.
REMINDERS THAT ACTUALLY ARRIVE
Scheduled with iOS, so they turn up whether or not the app is open. A set done at any point in the day counts for that day, whatever time your reminder was set for.
A BLADDER DIARY WORTH KEEPING
Leaks, pad changes, drinks, trips to the toilet, sudden urges — with volumes, how much came away, what you were doing at the time, and a note on every entry. Then share a plain summary and CSV files with your physiotherapist or continence nurse.
STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Short articles on finding the right muscle, what to expect after surgery, the mistakes that quietly stop it working, and an honest read of the evidence — including where that evidence is uncertain. Every article names the published sources it draws on.
NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE
No account. No sign-in. No adverts. No analytics. No cloud. Anchor makes no network requests and has no server behind it: your exercise record and your diary are on your device and nowhere else. Erase everything from Settings whenever you like.
FREE
All of it. Nothing to unlock, no subscription, no upsell.
IMPORTANT
Anchor is not a medical device. It does not assess you, diagnose you or treat anything, and it cannot check that you are contracting the right muscle — that needs a men's health physiotherapist. The programme your clinical team gives you always takes priority over anything in this app. If you cannot pass urine, see unexpected blood, or develop pain, fever or new weakness, contact your clinical team or NHS 111.
