Say when you want to eat, and the app works backwards.
Choose Christmas dinner, Sunday roast or Barbecue, tell it when you want to sit down, and you get a plan of every job in order, with a reminder on your phone for each one. It's a one-off price, with no account, no ads and no tracking.
THREE MODES
• Christmas dinner: a whole turkey from 2 to 12 kg or a turkey crown from 1 to 6 kg, with cooking times from published UK guidance. Tick the sides you want: roast potatoes, parsnips, pigs in blankets, stuffing (cooked separately), sprouts, gravy and Christmas pudding.
• Sunday roast: the same back-timing for a roast dinner, with its own list of sides. It includes a pork joint, planned for one steady oven setting (crackling isn't planned). For a main that isn't in the list, type in the cooking time from the pack and the app plans around it.
• Barbecue: the order of jobs, with no cooking times for food on the barbecue. See below.
BARBECUE
• The app gives no cooking times for food on the barbecue, because barbecues vary too much. It plans the order of jobs: when to light it (your choice, charcoal or gas), when the food goes on, and jobs for keeping raw and cooked food apart, cold food cold and leftovers safe.
• Reminders to check with a thermometer, not just the time. Cook chicken, pork, burgers, sausages and kebabs all the way through: steaming hot, no pink meat, juices clear, and at least 75°C in the thickest part.
• A whole bird is hard to cook through on a barbecue, so the app suggests cooking it in the oven first, then finishing it on the barbecue.
• A timer you set yourself: type the minutes and it reminds you. The app suggests no time. It's only a reminder, so check with a thermometer, not just the time.
FOR EVERY MODE
• Running late? Tap +15 or +30 minutes and the jobs you haven't done move later, with your reminders. It never moves a job earlier or shortens a cooking time.
• Three colour themes: red and green for Christmas, brown and green for Sunday roast, and green for the barbecue. The Home screen has a small drawn picture for each mode: a roast chicken, a Christmas tree and a sun.
• Frozen? For a roast or Christmas main, the plan starts a fridge defrost early enough and adds a thaw check. It doesn't plan cooking from frozen.
• Oven temperatures in Celsius, with the fan setting and Gas Mark shown together.
• Change the eating time later and every job moves with it. Jobs you've ticked off or skipped stay that way.
• If a plan can't fit in the oven, or a job's time has already passed, the app says so and offers a later eating time.
REMINDERS
Each job can remind you with a notification on your phone, even when the app is closed, and each mode has its own reminder sound. The app asks for permission only when you tap "Turn on reminders", and reminders work without a signal.
Reminders sound only if your phone is not on silent. Turn off silent mode and check Settings, Notifications, and your Focus so you do not miss a job.
EVERY JOB HAS A REASON
Tap any job to see what to do and where its time comes from. The Food safety and sources screen lists every source used.
FOOD SAFETY
Oven times are about right, not exact, because ovens and food vary. If your pack gives different instructions, follow the pack and enter its time in the app. Use a food thermometer. This app is not a replacement for official food safety guidance, and nothing in it is a guarantee.
The times and advice draw on published UK guidance from the Food Standards Agency, Food Standards Scotland and Safefood, and other published sources, all listed in the app. This app isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
PRIVACY AND PRICE
A one-off price. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no account, no ads, no tracking and no analytics. The app doesn't connect to the internet, and your plan stays on your phone.
