I’ve been using this app for more than a year and I am generally pleased with it. I like the graphics and the share options it gives you. The only trouble is that you cannot choose the output format while converting the .wav to .mp3 so it compresses it automatically and turns my file into MONO !!

This is by far my favourite field recording app, it's UX is on my vibe. The rotating reels remind me somewhat of the old school pilot indicators. (This is good, immediate visual confirmation of sound rolling at speed). This update is noticeably significant in terms of increased user options. Can't wait to use it with the latest generation of Lightning iOS digital signal path mics from iRig and Apogee. To have a chance at replacing my Nagra SD field recorder this app now needs to fulfil two criteria:1. Be robust. Never crash. Never lose a recording. (That iOS is the foundation gives me some confidence). 2. Some sort of dBFS or peak VU meter so I can monitor dialogue recordings to industry standards (commonly -12dBFS in Europe, and -20dBFS in North America). If you are serious about sound recording on iOS you should give this app a look.
