I feel like I don’t appreciate this app enough, Alhamdulilah HADITHS : Sometimes I want to read hadiths but find it difficult going through so many so that fact there’s a Hadith a day, really makes it feel much simpler and helps me to remember it more SURAHS : Listening to the surahs is beautiful and I love the translation in English language, It brings me closer to goodness by learning the meaning of the Quran PICTURES : The scenery pictures are beautiful and remind me of the beauty of God and his creation AZAAN : The Azaan is very helpful in reminding me for prayer as I forget sometimes and it’s also my alarm in the morning IMPROVEMENTS : (The app is amazing as it is but there’s always room for improvement right ! ) • I’d love for their to be a khutbah every jummah as I’m a lady and don’t get to hear it in the mosque • • Duas, Kalimahs, stories of Islam, fun facts eg the world, creation, human facts, something which makes u wonder/wow etc would be a nice extra SubhanAllah Alhamdulilah Allah hu Akbar jazakAllah

I’ve been a long-time premium user of this app, along with my family, and had paid specifically to remove ads many years ago. I was taken aback to find that on the first night of Ramadan, the app had become unusable because of a flood of ads for Chinese retail outlets kicking in every few seconds, making it impossible to do anything or see prayer times. I tried to restore my purchases, but found the developer had turned this feature off. I emailed to ask about this, and was sent a boilerplate email telling me that they had basically decided to downgrade me without telling me, for no clear reason (something about free upgrades rolled out in the past?). In other words, this developer took money from me for a specific feature (to remove ads) and then decided to restore the ads and expect me to pay more money for the privilege of reacquiring the service I’d already paid for. They then ignored any follow-up questions. Bear in mind they timed this to start with Ramadan. I’ve not met a more cynical, unethical ploy in many years on the App Store, and it’s grotesque it’s coming from a company offering prayer timings. I don’t see how this isn’t fraudulent behavior because I paid for a permanent upgrade and they’ve quietly removed that upgrade. So I’ve basically deleted this app from all my family’s devices and have moved on to other prayer timings apps, of which there are plenty, thankfully. Also - bear in mind that they’ve made it harder to delete your account details now because they’ve changed the sign-in options. This is not reassuring given what we know about apps like this selling user data to foreign governments. I am removing all their apps.

I never used to have any problem with this app in the past. However, I do find that their subscription is ridiculously expensive. My main issue is that when trying to access the app to find a prayer time, intrusive haram adverts (like gambling/credit cards with interest) have invaded my screen for too long, stopping me from seeing the prayer time for at least 20 seconds. Now this is not encouraging anyone to pray in fact not allowing them to see the prayer time in good timing. Surely they should be doing the opposite of this. I understand they may need financial support for the app but this is honestly forcing it. I have also found that family members and friends are facing the same issue. You should not be using Islam to make money in this way. Otherwise apart from this the app is very good, but unfortunately I do not use it anymore due to this, and I know many other people are doing the same. There are other add free apps for athan that actually encourage you to pray. I personally do not have the time to be sitting watching an add in order to rightfully see the current prayer time. I really do hope inshallah they change this.
