Looked for a refund immediately after purchase but glad I kept it
abs is already taken
I feel it didn’t make it explicitly clear enough, it won’t work in conjunction with any ebook app (not Apple Books, Kindle or Google play books). The paid version allows you to upload PDF files, but most of the books online in this format are old classics. As far as making me read quicker, haven’t had enough time (1 day usage) to notice or realistically expect any difference.
Save your money!! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL USER EXPERIENCE since latest update (version 2.4)

I used to love the free version of this app (so much so that I paid the annual subscription fee and have used it to speed read absolutely everything including purchased e-books that I had converted to PDF).However, since they updated to version 2.4 it’s been awful. It appears it was more important for them to introduce a ‘text to speech’ function than it was to maintain the existing functionality.I have tried using this app on iPhone 16 pro and the latest iPad and whilst I am in a document it is impossible to stop the screen motion regardless of where I tap on the screen.Previous versions were smooth in the transition. If I wanted to change the speed of the app, I would simply tap on the screen to stop and then go into the settings and adjust. That is now impossible without tapping the screen at different positions over and over until it finally stops. Now because they have introduced an ‘AI text to speak’ player, as I say it is now impossible to try and leave that function.Save your money!!ABSOLUTELY AWFULpab1250
Developer Response
Please tap on the pause button to stop the reading. We’ve changed the behavior due to user requests, as moving to a different position in text was previously rather hard and required leaving the reading flow. You can now also scroll manually through text while the speed reading is active. Those changes were not driven by the introduction of text to speech.
Love it

I do love it and recommend it. I’ve had it for years and it is better than ever. A couple of requests though? First would be to send clipboard text straight to it and have it star reading? Currently I need a couple of clicks to read out from the clipboard. Second is… well sorry but try SwiftRead on chrome/desktop. The highlighted letter and rest of the sentence forming around the target word both improve my usage!
Excellent app for learning speed reading!

App has very beautiful design and is quite easy to start to use. Also app have a LOT of options to make speed reading experience customisable. I run into few issues while using it, but they were fixed in no time after I wrote to support)
