How does WordDive work?
With WordDive, you’ll learn by reading, writing, listening and speaking. The learning algorithm optimises the pace of the exercises individually so that the study items are transferred from working memory to long-term memory. This is what we call permanent learning.
Permanent learning means that you’ll learn vocabulary and the most important grammar topics by heart. It requires you to write what you’re learning correctly, without listening, on at least two separate days. Once you’ve learned the basics of the language permanently, your confidence in using it increases and your language skills start improving rapidly.
The learning material is divided into skill levels and courses of approximately 40–60 study items. Following the clear and ready-made learning path is easy. You don’t have to worry about planning your studies – you can just enjoy learning.
By real life language skills, we mean understanding the language you’re studying and being able to have spontaneous conversations with native speakers. With WordDive, you’ll reach a sufficient level of proficiency and learn things you need on the road, at work and in other practical situations!

I’ve always wanted to be able to speak Spanish, but I haven’t been able to find the product/course to give me the confidence to feel I have the ability or drive to succeed. But Worddrive let’s you do just that. If you feel you need more training, you can just repeat the lessons as many times as you like. Worddrive not only gives you audio and visual but it gives you grammar as well. You only need to do a 30 minute lesson regularly (preferably daily) and you’ll start to learn.

Decent app with frustrating errors & shortcomings

One of very few online options for learning Estonian, especially beyond beginner level, so I’m glad to have it. But the English vocab prompts and some of the Estonian answers, are inconsistent and confusing. Eg. The English prompt will just say “Open” - does that mean you want me to supply the infinitive “To open”, or the adjective “open”, or a conjugated version eg. “He opens”? The answer the app accepts as correct varies, and there’s no clue as to which it will be (eg. Most times it’s the infinitive, but for the prompt “Go”, the correct answer is given as “Läheb“ which means “He goes”. For the prompt “Open”, the correct answer is given as “avatud”, which is the adjective “open”).Similarly, answers to pronouns are inconsistent - for “we” and “you”, the answers deemed correct are the short forms, “me” and “sa”. But for the English pronoun “me”, the correct answer given is “mina”, the long form.Frustrating errors to find in an app that seems to be really good in other ways.

Taiteen lumoissa osio on mielestäni sanastoltaan ja esimerkkilauseiltaan oikein hyvä. Sensijaan musiikkia käsittelevän osion sanasto - ainakin alkuosa - oli mielestäni aivan liian amattispefi. En edes suomeksi tunne, enkä käytä vastaavaa sanastoa. Musiikista saisi paljon yleisemmän ja yleiskäyttöön sopivamman sanaston. Lopetin vähän turhautuneena osion kesken, voi toki olla, että loppu oli parempi. Mitä mieltä itse olette? Ystävällisin terveisinMarja
