Overall I think this is a great player but local music has to be stored in its own protected file store. Considering Apple opened up the ability to access more of the local file system years ago and lots of apps make use of that, I’m surprise this app doesn’t.I keep a copy of my favourite music in an iCloud folder. This syncs to my iPhone, iPad, and Mac so that I can listen anywhere. To play this music I use VLC as it CAN access local folders including the iCloud sync folder. So why can’t Jet? I don’t want a second copy of the music taking up storage space. VLC is a great player but I prefer Jet for music playback.If you fix this one little thing, oh and make playlists easier to manage I’d give 5 stars and edit this review to sing your praises!

Having read reviews, I thought I was purchasing a well-designed music player for the iPhone. However, while the app looks good, it could so easily be much more usable. All I really wanted to do was organise playlists for an event - not a difficult task, you would imagine. However, two major problems became apparent: first, that there is no provision for trimming audio (even iTunes has that!); second, the “effects” (equaliser etc) cannot be applied per-file; and third, more important than anything, a playlist can be ordered in a myriad of ways, but not “custom” (where you would simply move a file up or down in the list!)

Over the past few years I got cought up into the audiophile nonsense and tried various apps and cans, iems, daps etc trying to get a fun music listening experience only to be left disappointed because no matter what hardware or software and eq I tried, things never sounded fun and engaging. And then, having tried every app I could find, I came across this one and I have to say, the DSPs it has really make a huge difference… I can finally get my wired and wireless cans and earbuds to sound fun and I am enjoying music a lot more now so thanks to the developers of jetaudio for what I think is a gem of an app 👍

This is an excellent music player, now available for iPhone. It has excellent customisable equaliser controls which make your music sound richer and miles better than the built in music app. There is, however, a major flaw which gives it 3 stars rather than 5. You are unable to play Apple Music. It shows all Apple Music and playlists and all but won’t play any songs. Is there a problem with Apple or jet audio- it’d be helpful if someone at Jet Audio can reply to this and if this could be fixed in future updates? There certainly are other 3rd party apps which let you play Apple Music so I am not sure what’s prohibiting jet audio to play Apple Music.
