I would highly recommend this game to any Star Wars fan, even those who are not overly in to Star Wars! This game is very addictive and there's always some form of progression for you to do, whether it's levelling up your favourite character, going through the levels or playing events which give you more characters! I've been playing this game for about 2 years and it's never bored me. I haven't had to spend a single penny of my money on the game and I've unlocked all of my favourite characters, including Kylo Ren, Kit Fisto and Boba Fett! The only downside to the game is when you first start it can be a little slow and difficult to learn how to play. But once you've cracked that and get playing it's very addictive and you quickly unlock your favourite characters! And the characters are from all the branches of Star Wars, canon and legends! The only thing I'd change about the game is that they need to add Jango Fett and perhaps different outfits for the characters. For example the clones are all without helmets and I think there should be an option to add the helmets. Poe Dameron is wearing his jacket whereas I prefer his pilot outfit. Overall this is a fantastic game which you really should give a try! Best feature is you really don't have to pay real money, only if you're impatient and want to unlock characters faster! I have been able to unlock all of my favourite characters through time and patience and have never spent any real money on the game 👍

I previously wrote a negative review for this game a few years ago as I was so frustrated with many aspects. Having played continuously since 2017 I have seen many highs and lows. I feel that this game is now in a much better place. The biggest point to be aware of for a new player is that although you can play for free you can also choose to spend a great deal so be aware that the transactions are not ‘micro’ if you want to compete in the higher levels or progress in any reasonable time frame.The introduction of paid for but good value catch-up packs has addressed a big problem whereby it can literally take years to achieve goals which can put off newer players, although it does devalue the efforts of those who lived the grind to reach the same point. Frequent updates and new characters with new raids along with quality of life changes have made a big difference to the game. If you like collecting characters and have a lot of free time..you will soon have much less free time! I enjoy the way character abilities generally relate to their lore and many new mechanics have been introduced over the years, keeping things fresh. Many hate datacrons (ability boost “cards” which expire) but without them the game would be more predictable and it particularly helps the late game players, (hmm, who tend to be the higher spenders), have a more varied experience. The best part by far is the theory crafting and camaraderie of the guild system -working together for a common goal. Sure, there are flaws but if you love Star Wars, and can accept that there are a lot of temptations to spend real money everyday, then this an engaging and challenging game.

Good game but after levelling up you spend most of your time (for a very VERY long time) doing dailies to get shards for characters which is a relentlessly slow process and the same for gear. This is probably one of the slowest progress games I’ve ever played (and I’ve played a lot) so it’s not for the impatient. The higher you go, the more items you need and from very limited amounts of energy. It’s very much pay to win but the more you spend, the more you’ll need to spend, it’s a very slippery slope and although the odd deal worth paying for does appear, most are not. Definitely one for the whales (BIG spenders) as the packs are so greedy. If you find yourself spending it really never ends and not far in, the more you spend and the less effective that buying becomes. Oh, and don’t get caught out by the probability packs, they are HORRENDOUSLY bad!It’s a shame because other than the extortionate greed the gameplay is very good. Does get a bit monotonous at times because the shard count is so slow but it does make levelling up very satisfying but it’s a rare thing on your main characters as it becomes a serious grind so you spend a lot of time levelling characters you’re hardly ever likely to use. The ships? Don’t get me started on those, safe to say they are the weakest part of the game but unfortunately you’ll need to complete the campaign, you don’t have a lot of choice or you gimp yourself.
